【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대경ICT산업협회와 구미AI로봇기업협의회가 대구·구미 지역 기업 간 협력을 통해 제조업의 AI 전환을 지원하는 공동 협력체계를 구축했다.

양 기관은 최근 업무협약을 맺고, 지역 ICT 기업과 로봇·제조 기업을 잇는 네트워크를 바탕으로 공동 기술개발, 현장 실증, 사업화 등을 함께 추진하기로 했다. 이번 협약에는 △지역 ICT·로봇기업 협력 네트워크 구축 △지역기업 지원 및 AI 전환(AX) 기술개발 연계 △ICT·로봇산업 발전을 위한 공동사업 추진 △정보 교류와 상호 지원 등 네 가지 분야에서의 협력이 포함돼 있다.

협약의 취지는 대구의 AI·소프트웨어·데이터 기술을 보유한 ICT 기업과 구미의 제조·로봇 기업의 기술 수요를 연결해, 기업 혼자서는 추진하기 어려운 AI 전환 과제를 함께 풀어나가자는 데 있다.

이를 통해 대구 ICT 기업은 제조현장 적용 기회를 넓히고, 구미 제조·로봇 기업은 생산공정 고도화와 지능형 로봇 도입에 필요한 기술 파트너를 확보할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

최종태 대경ICT산업협회장은 “AI 전환은 단순한 디지털화가 아니라 생산방식과 비즈니스 모델을 혁신하는 과정”이라며 “대구 ICT 역량과 구미의 제조·로봇 기반을 연결해 지역 기업들이 실질적으로 체감할 수 있는 협력 모델을 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

김현진 구미AI로봇기업협의회장도 “회원사들이 필요로 하는 AI·ICT 기술을 신속하게 연결해, 현장에서 실제로 혁신 성과를 이끌어낼 수 있도록 협력을 끌어올리겠다”고 전했다.

양 기관은 앞으로도 구미 기업의 AX 수요를 꾸준히 발굴하고, 맞춤형 ICT 기업 및 기술과 연결해 공동 기술개발과 현장 적용 과제를 계속 추진할 계획이다.

Kim Hyun-jin, Chairman of the Gumi AI Robot Enterprise Council, also remarked, “We will elevate cooperation to quickly connect member companies with the AI ​​and ICT technologies they need, thereby driving actual innovation results in the field.”

Both organizations plan to continue identifying AX needs from Gumi companies and pursuing joint technology development and field application projects by connecting them with customized ICT firms and technologies.
