영양군은 입암면 선바위관광지에서 '제3회 영양 퐁당퐁당 물놀이 축제'와 상설 어린이 물놀이장을 함께 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다. 두 시설을 연계해 물놀이와 휴식, 관광을 함께 즐길 수 있는 체류형 관광지로 활용한다는 계획이다.

올해 세 번째를 맞은 퐁당퐁당 물놀이 축제는 오는 8월 9일까지 진행된다. 운영 시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지이며 이용료는 무료다. 다만 매주 월요일과 기상 악화 시에는 안전을 위해 운영을 중단한다.

축제장에는 규모가 다른 대형·중형·소형 워터슬라이드 3기와 야외수영장, 에어풀장 3곳이 설치돼 연령별로 다양한 물놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 했다. 영유아부터 청소년까지 이용할 수 있는 시설을 갖춰 가족 단위 방문객의 이용 편의를 높였다.
