달성군은 사고 발생 직후 현장 출입을 통제하고 안전시설을 보강한 데 이어, 관내 하천과 계곡 등 수난사고 우려 지역에 대한 종합 안전점검을 추진하고 있다고 29일 밝혔다.

군은 사고 당일인 지난 23일 사고 현장에 출입 통제선을 설치하고 위험 알림 부표와 경고 현수막을 게시하는 등 현장 통제에 나섰다. 또 사고 지점에 인명구조함 2개를 긴급 배치해 추가 사고 예방 조치를 완료했다.

이어 지난 24일 정은주 달성군 부군수 주재로 긴급 대책회의를 열고 위험지역 시설물 점검과 순찰 강화 등 수난사고 예방을 위한 종합 대책을 마련했다.

군은 오는 8월 안전요원 9명을 채용해 수난사고 우려 지역에 상시 배치하고 순찰과 안전수칙 계도 활동을 실시할 계획이다. 인력 배치 전까지는 공무원을 현장에 투입해 안전관리 공백을 최소화하고 있다.

또한 사고 지점뿐 아니라 비슬산과 용연사 계곡을 비롯한 주요 하천·계곡 9곳의 안전시설을 긴급 점검하고 있으며, 관내 수난사고 위험지역을 추가 발굴하기 위한 전수조사도 병행하고 있다.

조사 결과 위험성이 확인된 지역에는 오는 8월부터 구명환과 구명조끼, 구조로프 등을 갖춘 인명구조함을 순차적으로 설치하고, 주요 도로와 하천 산책로에는 안내판을 추가 설치해 안전수칙 안내와 현장 계도를 강화할 방침이다.

최재훈 달성군수는 "사고 직후 신속한 현장 통제를 시작으로 관내 수난 위험지역의 안전관리 체계를 전면 재점검하고 있다"며 "현장 통제와 시설 보강, 전담 순찰 인력 운영 등 모든 행정력을 동원해 군민과 방문객 모두가 안심할 수 있는 안전환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

In the wake of a recent water accident in a valley within its jurisdiction, Dalseong County has launched a comprehensive inspection of its safety management system for high-risk areas and is taking steps to prevent recurrence.
