【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 구수산도서관이 문화체육관광부가 주관하는 2026년 ‘길 위의 인문학’ 연속지원 사업에 선정됐다. 이에 따라 오는 8월 22일부터 11월 21일까지 ‘역사를 품은 산, 산이 품은 칠곡 이야기’라는 인문학 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.

행복북구문화재단 구수산도서관이 문화체육관광부와 한국문화예술위원회, 한국도서관협회가 함께하는 2026년 ‘길 위의 인문학’ 연속지원 사업에 선정됐다. 도서관은 오는 8월 22일부터 11월 21일까지 ‘역사를 품은 산, 산이 품은 칠곡 이야기’라는 프로그램을 마련해 운영할 계획이라고 19일 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 성인 지역주민을 대상으로, 매주 토요일 총 12회에 걸쳐 진행된다. 강연과 체험활동을 중심으로, 지역의 산을 주제로 역사·문화·지리·자연유산을 인문학적으로 조명할 예정이다.

특히 오는 9월 19일에는 동화사와 파계사, 11월 14일에는 가산산성 등 주요 명소를 직접 방문하는 현장답사도 준비됐다. 참가자들은 강연에서 들은 내용을 실제 현장에 나가 더 깊이 체험하는 시간을 갖게 된다. 마지막 회차에서는 빙하기부터 현대에 이르는 대구의 자연유산과 지역 문화를 함께 나누며 프로그램을 마무리할 계획이다.

구수산도서관은 이번 사업을 계기로 시민들이 지역의 역사와 문화자원을 좀 더 쉽고 흥미롭게 접할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 또한 익숙한 지역 공간을 새롭게 바라보는 경험을 통해 지역에 대한 이해와 애향심이 한층 높아질 것으로 전망했다.

참가 신청은 8월 3일부터 구수산도서관 홈페이지에서 선착순으로 받을 예정이다. 자세한 일정이나 모집인원 등은 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있다.

이근수 행복북구문화재단 이사장은 “이번 프로그램을 통해 시민들이 늘 가까이 하는 산을 새로운 눈으로 바라보고, 지역의 역사와 문화를 더 깊이 이해하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 인문학 프로그램으로 지역문화의 가치를 널리 전하겠다”고 말했다.

The Gususan Library of the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation has been selected for the 2026 "Humanities on the Road" continuous support project, a joint initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Arts Council Korea, and the Korean Library Association. The library announced on the 19th that it plans to organize and operate the program titled "Mountains Embracing History, Stories of Chilgok Embraced by Mountains" from August 22 to November 21.

This program is aimed at local adult residents and will be held every Saturday for a total of 12 sessions. Focusing on lectures and hands-on activities, the program will shed light on the history, culture, geography, and natural heritage of the region from a humanities perspective, centering on the theme of local mountains.

In particular, field trips are planned for September 19 to visit major landmarks such as Donghwasa Temple and Pagyesa Temple, and on November 14 to visit Gasansanseong Fortress. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the content learned in the lectures more deeply by visiting the actual sites. The final session is planned to conclude the program by sharing Daegu's natural heritage and local culture, spanning from the Ice Age to the modern era.

Gususan Library expects that this project will allow citizens to access the region's history and cultural resources more easily and interestingly. Furthermore, it anticipates that understanding of the region and a sense of local pride will be significantly enhanced through the experience of viewing familiar local spaces in a new light.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting August 3 on the Gususan Library website. Detailed schedules and enrollment numbers can be found on the website.

Lee Geun-soo, Chairman of the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation, said, “I hope this program serves as an opportunity for citizens to view the mountains they always keep close with a new perspective and to gain a deeper understanding of the region’s history and culture,” adding, “We will continue to spread the value of local culture through various humanities programs.”
