【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교가 김종수 경상북도 안전행정실장에게 명예이학박사 학위를 수여했다. 김 실장은 한의약 산업 육성과 글로컬대학, RISE, 경북 식품산업 글로벌 혁신 프로젝트 등 지역혁신 과제에 기여한 공로를 인정받았다.

대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)는 31일 본관 2층 회의실에서 김종수 경상북도 안전행정실장에게 명예이학박사 학위를 전달했다고 밝혔다. 이날 행사에는 경상북도와 대구시, 경북도의회, 그리고 지역 지방자치단체 관계자들이 참석해 김 실장의 학위 수여를 축하했다.

대학 측은 김 실장이 30여 년간 경상북도와 도의회에서 지역 발전 정책을 추진해 오면서 대학과 지방정부 간의 협력을 이끌고, 한의약 산업 육성 및 지역혁신 정책 추진에 크게 기여했다고 설명했다.

특히 김 실장은 대구한의대의 글로컬대학30 K-MEDI 전통의학 실크로드 프로젝트, RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계), 경북 식품산업 글로벌 혁신 프로젝트 등 지역혁신 핵심 사업들이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 정책적 기반 조성과 행정 지원을 아끼지 않은 공로를 인정받았다.

변창훈 총장은 "김종수 실장께서 우리 대학의 글로컬대학 사업과 K-MEDI 프로젝트가 추진될 수 있도록 든든한 정책적 토대를 마련해 주셨다"며 "명예박사 학위는 지역혁신과 대학 발전을 위해 기울인 노고에 대한 대학 구성원의 존경과 감사를 담은 것"이라고 말했다.

김종수 명예이학박사는 "뜻깊은 명예박사 학위를 받아 큰 영광"이라며 "앞으로도 대구한의대학교와 경상북도가 함께 성장할 수 있도록 지역혁신과 글로컬대학 발전에 적극 힘을 보태겠다"고 소감을 전했다.

Daegu Hani University awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree to Kim Jong-soo, Director General of the Safety and Administration Office of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Daegu Hani University (President Byun Chang-hoon) announced that it presented the honorary Doctor of Science degree to Kim Jong-soo, Director General of the Safety and Administration Office of Gyeongsangbuk-do, in the conference room on the second floor of the main building on the 31st. Officials from Gyeongsangbuk-do, Daegu City, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, and local governments attended the ceremony to congratulate Director Kim on receiving the degree.

The university explained that Director Kim has promoted regional development policies for over 30 years at Gyeongsangbuk-do and the Provincial Council, fostering cooperation between the university and the local government, and making significant contributions to the fostering of the Korean traditional medicine industry and the implementation of regional innovation policies. In particular, Director Kim was recognized for his contributions in establishing a policy foundation and providing unsparing administrative support to ensure the smooth implementation of key regional innovation projects at Daegu Hani University, such as the Glocal University 30 K-MEDI Traditional Medicine Silk Road Project, RISE (Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System), and the Gyeongbuk Food Industry Global Innovation Project.

President Byun Chang-hoon stated, "Director Kim Jong-soo has laid a solid policy foundation to enable the advancement of our university's Glocal University project and the K-MEDI project," adding, "This honorary doctorate embodies the respect and gratitude of the university community for the hard work he has devoted to regional innovation and the development of the university."

Honorary Doctor of Science Kim Jong-soo expressed his sentiments, saying, "It is a great honor to receive such a meaningful honorary doctorate," and added, "I will continue to actively contribute to regional innovation and the development of the Glocal University so that Daegu Hani University and Gyeongsangbuk-do can grow together."
