봉화군은 8월 3일부터 9월 11일까지 봉화군조합공동사업법인(대표 배상환)을 통해 관내 홍고추 수매를 진행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 수매 대상은 사전 출하 약정을 맺은 지역 내 189개 농가로, 총 600여 톤 규모의 홍고추를 매입할 예정이다.
수매된 홍고추는 봉화 고추종합처리장에서 선별과 품질관리 과정을 거쳐 위생적인 고춧가루로 가공되며, 이후 홈쇼핑과 온라인 판매 채널 등을 통해 소비자에게 공급될 계획이다.
봉화군의 홍고추 수매사업은 안정적인 원료 확보는 물론 봉화 고추의 품질 경쟁력 향상과 지역 농가의 안정적인 판매처 마련에 기여하고 있다.
특히 군은 일정 요건을 충족한 출하 농가를 대상으로 출하량의 80% 이상을 납품할 경우 ㎏당 400원의 수매 장려금을 지원해 농가 경영 안정에도 힘을 보탤 예정이다.
배상환 봉화군조합공동사업법인 대표는 “철저한 품질 관리와 위생적인 가공 과정을 통해 봉화 고추의 신뢰도를 높이고, 다양한 판매처 확보와 시장 경쟁력 강화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
최기영 봉화군수는 “농촌 고령화와 인력 부족 등으로 어려움을 겪는 농가에 이번 홍고추 수매가 실질적인 도움이 되길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 봉화 고추의 브랜드 가치를 높이고 농가 소득 안정화를 위한 지원 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
