경찰에 따르면 지난 2일 오후 4시 30분께 경남 창녕군의 한 야산에서 경산경찰서 수사팀장 A 경감(50대)이 숨진 상태로 발견됐다.

A 경감은 전날 연가를 내고 휴식을 취하던 중 연락이 두절된 것으로 알려졌다. 경찰은 현재까지 타살 등 범죄 혐의점은 확인되지 않았다고 밝혔다.

A 경감은 최근 경산시 사동 아파트 방화사건 수사를 담당해 왔다. 경찰은 정확한 사망 경위와 원인을 확인하기 위해 관련 절차를 진행하고 있다.
