【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코가 운영하는 동반성장지원단이 포항과 광양 지역 기업을 대상으로 한 현장 중심 지원을 강화하며 생산성 향상과 안전, 디지털 전환 등 다양한 분야에서 성과를 내고 있다. 산업위기선제대응지역으로 지정된 지역 기업들의 경쟁력 회복을 돕기 위한 맞춤형 지원이 본격화되면서 개선 사례도 꾸준히 늘어나는 모습이다.

포스코는 'Steel One Team, 간다! 포스코 동반성장지원단' 활동을 통해 올해 상반기 총 109건의 개선 과제를 추진했으며, 이 가운데 79건을 포항과 광양 지역 기업에서 발굴했다고 밝혔다. 현재까지 23건의 과제가 완료돼 현장에 적용됐다.

기업별 맞춤 지원도 이어졌다. 포항 소재 에스아이씨엔티에는 설비기술부와 협력해 설비 이상 원인을 분석하고 개선 방안을 마련할 수 있도록 기술 지원을 실시했다. 광양의 금홍기업과 광양테크에는 DX전략실과 협업해 정보보안 진단을 진행했으며, 랜섬웨어 대응을 위한 긴급 보안 개선 작업도 지원했다.

정부와 유관기관 지원사업 연계도 성과를 거뒀다. 동반성장지원단은 상반기 15개 기업을 대상으로 사업 참여 컨설팅을 제공해 총 33억 원 규모의 지원사업과 연계될 수 있도록 지원했다.

포항의 한국협화는 환경부 스마트생태공장 구축사업 대상에 선정됐으며, 광양 지역 기업들도 한국산업단지공단의 스마트에너지플랫폼 구축사업 등에 참여해 사업비 일부를 지원받게 됐다.

안전관리 역량 강화 지원도 병행됐다. 포스코는 공사 참여기업의 안전역량등급 향상을 위해 지역 내 38개 회사를 직접 방문해 운영 실태와 애로사항을 점검하고, 신청 서류 작성부터 현장심사 대응까지 단계별 지원을 제공했다. 그 결과 올해 상반기 10개 기업이 안전역량등급 4등급 이상을 획득했다.

비에이치테크 박대원 이사는 "안전역량등급 상향을 자체적으로 준비하는 데 어려움이 있었는데 전문가의 현장 지원이 큰 도움이 됐다"고 말했다.

포스코는 앞으로도 기술 지원뿐 아니라 재무, 안전, 보안 등 다양한 분야에서 지역 기업의 경쟁력 강화를 지원하고, 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 상생 협력 체계를 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 방침이다.

POSCO announced that through the activities of the 'Steel One Team, Let's Go! POSCO Shared Growth Support Group,' it promoted a total of 109 improvement projects in the first half of this year, 79 of which were identified by companies in the Pohang and Gwangyang regions. Customized support for individual companies also continued. At SI CNT, located in Pohang, technical support was provided in cooperation with the Equipment Technology Department to analyze the causes of equipment malfunctions and develop improvement plans. Information security diagnostics were conducted at Geumhong Enterprise and Gwangyang Tech in Gwangyang in collaboration with the DX Strategy Office, and emergency security improvement work was also supported to respond to ransomware.

Linking support programs with the government and related agencies also yielded results. The Korea Shared Growth Support Group provided consulting on business participation to 15 companies in the first half of the year, facilitating their connection to support projects totaling 3.3 billion won.

Korea Kyohwa in Pohang was selected for the Ministry of Environment's Smart Eco-Factory Construction Project, while companies in the Gwangyang region also participated in projects such as the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation's Smart Energy Platform Construction Project, receiving partial funding for their costs.

Support for strengthening safety management capabilities was also provided in parallel. To improve the safety capability ratings of participating companies, POSCO directly visited 38 local companies to inspect operational status and address difficulties, providing step-by-step support ranging from drafting application documents to responding to on-site inspections. As a result, 10 companies achieved a safety capability rating of Grade 4 or higher in the first half of this year.

Park Dae-won, Director of BH Tech, said, "We faced difficulties in preparing for the upgrade of our safety capability rating on our own, but the on-site support from experts was of great help."

POSCO plans to continue supporting the strengthening of competitiveness of local companies in various fields, including finance, safety, and security, in addition to technical support, and to continuously expand its win-win cooperation system that grows together with the local community.
