청송군은 6일 가뭄과 폭염 피해 최소화를 위한 긴급 대책회의를 개최하고 농업용수 확보 방안과 취약계층 보호 대책 등 분야별 대응 상황을 점검했다고 밝혔다.

이날 회의는 윤경희 청송군수가 직접 주재했으며, 가뭄 위기 단계 발령과 폭염특보 지속에 따른 선제적 대응 방안을 마련하기 위해 마련됐다. 회의에는 군 실·과·원·소장과 읍·면장, 한국농어촌공사 및 한국수자원공사 관계자 등이 참석해 현재 가뭄 상황과 대응 계획을 공유했다.

참석자들은 농업 현장의 피해를 줄이기 위한 농업용수 공급 대책과 저수율 관리 방안, 비상 급수 체계 등을 집중적으로 논의했다. 이와 함께 농작물 생육 관리와 축산 피해 예방, 무더위쉼터 운영 현황, 폭염 취약계층 보호 방안 등 군민 안전을 위한 대응책도 함께 살폈다.

회의 이후 윤 군수는 주요 현장을 찾아 대응 상황을 직접 확인했다. 장전저수지와 성덕댐을 방문해 저수 현황과 용수 공급 여건을 점검하고, 농작물 재배 현장을 찾아 가뭄 피해 여부와 작황 상태를 살폈다.

이어 장전1리 경로당과 청운리 경로당 등 무더위쉼터를 방문해 냉방시설 운영 상황을 확인하고, 폭염에 취약한 어르신들의 건강 관리와 이용 불편 사항을 청취하는 등 현장 대응에도 힘을 쏟았다.

청송군은 앞으로 기상 상황과 저수율 변화를 지속적으로 관찰하고, 농작물 피해 예방과 안정적인 용수 공급을 위한 현장 점검을 강화할 계획이다. 필요할 경우 비상 급수 지원 확대 등 추가 대응 방안도 적극 추진할 방침이다.
