예천군농업기술센터는 기초영농기술교육 과정을 마친 수료생 33명을 대상으로 전북 고창군 일대에서 6일과 7일 양일간 '영농정착 역량강화 현장견학'을 진행했다. 이번 프로그램은 신규 농업인들의 영농 시행착오를 줄이고 현장 중심의 실전 역량을 높이기 위해 기획됐다.

견학단은 고창딸부자농장과 호두나무숲 등을 방문해 멜론, 수박, 호두 등 주요 작물의 재배 기술과 관리 노하우를 살폈다. 특히 선배 귀농인들로부터 초기 정착 과정에서의 시행착오와 수확·유통 팁을 직접 들으며 현장의 생생한 경험을 공유받았다.

이어 농촌융복합산업(6차산업)의 대표적 성공 사례인 상하농원과 매일유업 상하공장을 찾아 단순 재배를 넘어 생산·가공·체험·관광이 어우러진 수익 모델과 선진화된 유제품 가공 공정을 다각도로 둘러봤다.

참가자들은 현장에서 얻은 아이디어를 본인의 농업 계획에 적용하고 서로의 정보를 교류하며 지역 정착에 대한 자신감을 얻었다고 전했다.
