또 “경제가 어려운 가운데 다른 지방의회들은 민생 지원을 위해 연수를 취소했지만, 대구시의회는 시민들의 우려를 외면해 왔다”고 덧붙였다.
복지연합은 남은 회기 동안 대구시의회가 본연의 의정활동, 특히 행정사무감사 준비에 집중해야 한다고 강조했다. 아울러 “함께하는 민생의회, 행동하는 정책의회”라는 시의회 슬로건에 걸맞게, 시민의 삶을 최우선에 두는 의정활동을 펼칠 것을 요구했다.
한편 복지연합은 해외연수 제도 개선 방안으로 연수 시기 제한, 지방의회 간 공동연수, 연수 목적 및 예산의 사전 공개, 결과의 정책 반영과 사후 검증 등의 방안을 제시했다.
