【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교가 일본 국제의료복지대학과의 학생 교류 규모를 기존 대비 4배로 확대한다. 이를 통해 한의학교육 분야에서의 국제협력을 대폭 강화할 방침이다.

대구한의대는 변창훈 총장이 지난 2일부터 5일까지 일본 국제의료복지대학을 직접 찾아 양 대학 간 교류 확대와 교육·보건의료 분야 협력 방안 등을 논의했다고 13일 밝혔다.

두 대학은 2013년 맺은 업무협약을 계기로 교류를 이어오고 있다. 올해는 학생 교류 규모를 약 4배로 늘리기로 합의했다. 이에 따라 학생들이 서로의 교육 현장과 문화 환경을 직접 체험할 수 있는 기회가 크게 늘어나며, 교육 프로그램 전반에 걸친 질적 교류 역시 한층 강화될 전망이다.

이번 방문에서 변 총장은 양 대학 간 교류 확대뿐만 아니라 보건의료 분야 교육 및 협력 심화 방안을 중점적으로 논의했다.

방문 기간에는 제3회 국제의학교육심포지엄도 열렸다. 심포지엄에서 대구한의대는 한국의 한의학교육 체계와 한의학이 국민건강보험과 연계된 실제 사례 등을 소개하며, 한의학 교육과 제도 분야의 국제적 교류 폭을 한층 넓혔다.

대구한의대는 이러한 교류 확대를 글로컬대학30 사업 중 ‘K-MEDI Silk Road’ 프로젝트와도 연계할 계획이다. 한의학뿐만 아니라 K-뷰티와 웰니스 분야까지 글로벌 공동교육과 연구, 학생 교류 등 다양한 협력을 추진해 해외 대학 및 기관들과의 교류 기반을 더욱 탄탄히 다져간다는 전략이다.

송지청 대구한의대 국제처장은 “이번 심포지엄에서 한의학교육 체계와 국민건강보험 연계 사례를 소개하며 많은 국가와의 협력 필요성을 강조했다”며, “앞으로도 교육·연구 네트워크를 넓혀나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

변창훈 총장은 “국제교류 확대를 통해 학생들이 다양한 교육·문화 환경을 경험할 수 있도록 하고, K-MEDI Silk Road를 거점으로 교육과 산업을 연계해 대학의 글로벌 경쟁력을 더욱 높이겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongsan City has begun full-scale preparations to transform the ‘Gyeongsan Gatbawi Wish Fulfillment Festival,’ marking its 25th anniversary this year, into a festival that encompasses local culture, tourism resources, and the local economy.

In particular, the committee members agreed that ‘wish fulfillment,’ the representative image of Gatbawi, should be adopted as the core identity of the festival, and that experiential and participatory programs linked to local culture and tourism resources should be further expanded. Opinions were also raised that, befitting the symbolism of the 25th anniversary, it is necessary to develop content that actively leverages the accumulated history and the unique significance of Gatbawi to increase participation rates among citizens and tourists and extend their stay.

Connecting the festival venue with local commercial districts was also a key topic of discussion. Proposals were made to naturally incorporate local food, souvenirs, and various experiential activities into the festival route, and to organize promotions or discount events in collaboration with small business owners so that visiting the festival leads directly to local consumption.

How to strengthen visitor convenience and safety management was also a major focus. It was decided to meticulously check basic amenities such as parking, traffic guidance, restrooms, and nursing rooms, as well as emergency medical services, security, and cooperation systems with fire departments. Plans were also made to further review public transportation integration and traffic control measures for congested areas.

In addition, ideas were presented to expand customized programs reflecting the needs of various generations—including youth, families, and middle-aged adults—and to maximize the effectiveness of pre- and post-event promotions through social media and online marketing. Gyeongsan City plans to incorporate the details discussed on this day into its implementation plan and prepare for the festival in close cooperation with the Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation.

A city official stated, "We will continue to develop this into Gyeongsan's representative festival that both citizens and tourists can enjoy together and want to visit again, by highlighting the unique cultural value of Gatbawi and its symbolism of wish fulfillment."
