【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시의회 교육위원회가 하반기 학생 수련활동을 앞두고 수련원 현장을 방문해 안전관리 실태를 꼼꼼히 점검했다. 위원회는 최근 기후 변화로 폭염과 갑작스러운 호우가 빈번해진 만큼, 학생들이 안심하고 수련활동에 참여할 수 있도록 실질적인 안전 대책 마련을 주문했다.

이성오 위원장이 이끄는 제10대 대구시의회 교육위원회는 13일 대구교육낙동강수련원과 대구교육팔공산수련원을 차례로 찾아 수련활동 시설과 체험시설의 안전관리 현황을 직접 살펴봤다.  

이번 현장점검은 2학기를 앞두고 야외 수련활동이 본격화되면서, 예상치 못한 기후로 인한 안전사고 가능성을 점검하고 사고 예방을 위한 현장 대응 시스템을 확인하기 위해 마련됐다.

위원들은 수련원 측으로부터 시설 운영과 안전관리 상황을 보고받은 뒤, 실제로 학생들이 자주 이용하는 체험시설과 생활시설을 둘러봤다.  

특히 폭염이나 갑작스러운 집중호우 등으로 야외활동이 어려울 때를 대비해, 신속하게 실내 프로그램으로 전환할 수 있는 체계를 갖추는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다고 강조했다.  

또한 체험시설에 대한 사전 안전점검도 단발성이 아니라, 상시로 이뤄질 수 있도록 관리 방안을 강화해줄 것을 요청했다. 학생들이 직접 이용하는 시설인 만큼, 사소한 위험 요인도 놓치지 않고 미리 발견해 보완하는 예방 중심의 안전관리 필요성을 다시 한 번 확인했다.

이성오 교육위원장은 “학생들이 야외에서 다양한 경험을 쌓는 수련활동이 중요한 의미가 있지만, 무엇보다도 안전이 최우선”이라며 “폭염이나 기습폭우 상황에서도 즉각 실내 활동으로 전환할 수 있는 체계를 만들고, 체험시설 안전점검도 늘 철저히 해달라”고 당부했다.

교육위는 이번 현장점검에서 파악한 내용을 앞으로 교육청 정책과 예산 심의 과정에 반영하고, 시설 보강이나 관리 개선이 필요한 부분은 신속하게 조치할 계획이다.

It was decided to meticulously check basic amenities such as parking, traffic guidance, restrooms, and nursing rooms, as well as emergency medical services, security, and cooperation systems with fire departments. Plans were also made to further review public transportation integration and traffic control measures for congested areas.

In addition, ideas were presented to expand customized programs reflecting the needs of various generations—including youth, families, and middle-aged adults—and to maximize the effectiveness of pre- and post-event promotions through social media and online marketing. Gyeongsan City plans to incorporate the details discussed on this day into its implementation plan and prepare for the festival in close cooperation with the Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation.

A city official stated, "We will continue to develop this into Gyeongsan's representative festival that both citizens and tourists can enjoy together and want to visit again, by highlighting the unique cultural value of Gatbawi and its symbolism of wish fulfillment."
