영천시는 오는 9월부터 11월까지 관내를 찾는 외지 내국인 관광객을 대상으로 지출 경비의 절반을 돌려주는 ‘반값에 반하다, 영천’ 사업을 전격 가동한다고 밝혔다.

지원 대상은 영천시 이외 지역에 주민등록을 둔 내국인 방문객이다. 지원 한도는 유형별로 차등 적용되어 개인은 최대 10만 원, 2인 이상 단체·팀은 최대 20만 원까지 환급받을 수 있다. 특히 청년층(19~34세)은 최대 14만 원, 최대 5인 기준 가족 단위 방문객은 최대 50만 원까지 지원 폭이 확대된다. 단, 인근 지자체인 경산시·청도군·경주시·포항시·청송군 및 대구광역시 군위군 주민과 외국인은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.

혜택을 제공받기 위해서는 방문 여행일 기준 최소 7일 전까지 사전 신청을 완료해야 하며, 영천시가 지정한 관내 관광지 2곳 이상을 필수 방문해야 한다. 경비 결제는 모바일 영천사랑상품권 또는 개인 신용카드를 사용해야 하고, 여행을 마친 뒤 7일 이내에 증빙 자료를 첨부해 환급을 신청하면 모바일 영천사랑상품권으로 정산 지급된다.

시는 이번 프로젝트를 통해 관광객의 비용 부담을 크게 낮추는 한편, 숙박·음식·체험 등 관내 소상공인 사업장으로 소비를 유도해 실질적인 경제 활성화 효과를 거둘 것으로 기대하고 있다.
