【브레이크뉴스】박영재 기자=경주화랑고 2학년 김서윤이 2026 한국프로골프협회(KPGA) 회장배 주니어 선수권대회에서 우승하며 KPGA 프로(준회원) 자격 특전을 획득했다.

김서윤은 1일부터 2일까지 전북 군산 컨트리클럽 부안·남원 코스(파72)에서 열린 이번 대회에서 2라운드 합계 6언더파 138타를 기록해 정상에 올랐다.

중·고등부 선수 120명이 참가한 이번 대회는 36홀 스트로크 플레이 방식으로 치러졌다.

첫날 김서윤은 버디 4개와 보기 1개를 기록하며 3언더파 69타를 작성했다. 최종 라운드에서도 이글 1개와 버디 3개, 보기 2개로 3언더파 69타를 추가하며 최종 합계 6언더파를 기록했다.

김서윤은 5언더파 139타를 기록한 박연준(만경고)을 1타 차로 따돌리고 우승컵을 차지했다.

김서윤은 경기 후 "그린에서 경기가 잘 풀린 것이 우승의 원동력이 됐다"며 "그린 주변 플레이와 쇼트게임에서 아직 보완할 부분이 많은 만큼 더 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

준우승한 박연준에게는 KPGA 프로 선발전 예선 2회 면제 혜택이 주어졌으며, 4언더파 140타로 3위에 오른 상현준(경신고)은 예선 1회 면제 특전을 받았다.

올해로 5회째를 맞은 KPGA 회장배 주니어 선수권대회는 유소년 골프 유망주 발굴과 국내 골프 저변 확대를 위해 마련된 대회다. 문화체육관광부와 국민체육진흥공단의 후원으로 개최되고 있으며, 김백준·송민혁·고유승 등이 역대 우승자로 이름을 올렸다.

Kim Seo-yoon, a sophomore at Gyeongju Hwarang High School, won the 2026 Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) President's Cup Junior Championship, earning the privilege of KPGA Pro (Associate Member) status.

Kim Seo-yoon claimed the victory at the tournament, held from the 1st to the 2nd at the Buan-Namwon Course (Par 72) of Gunsan Country Club in Jeonbuk, recording a two-round total of 6-under-par 138.

The KPGA President's Cup Junior Championship, marking its fifth year, is a tournament established to discover promising young golfers and expand the base of golf in Korea. It is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and past winners include Kim Baek-jun, Song Min-hyuk, and Ko Yu-seung.
