【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교가 전문대학 혁신지원사업 관련 전국 공모전에서 눈에 띄는 성과를 올렸다. 학생들은 교육·행정 분야에서 혁신 사례를 적극적으로 선보였고, 교직원들도 AI를 활용한 개선 사례로 수상의 기쁨을 누렸다. 총 5개의 수상 실적을 거두며 혁신대학의 입지를 다시 한 번 증명했다.

대구보건대학교는 지난 8월 27~28일 부산에서 열린 전문대학 혁신지원사업 추계워크숍에서 열린 ‘숏폼 영상 콘텐츠 공모전’과 ‘AI 활용 행정혁신 우수사례 공모전’에서 각각 3건, 2건이 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

숏폼 영상 콘텐츠 공모전에서는 우수학생클럽 ‘프라임 이노베이션팀’이 ‘[Level Up] 혁신이 만든 프라임클럽’으로 한국연구재단 이사장상(최우수상)을 받았다. 이 영상은 임상병리학과 구수현·조호성 학생과 간호학과 김도현 학생 등이 참여해 혁신지원사업에 직접 참여하며 겪은 교육, 활동, 성장 스토리를 자연스럽게 담아냈다.

‘더 프라임팀’의 ‘우수학생클럽 챌린지’와 ‘문학살롱팀’의 ‘페이지 너머, 우리의 이야기’도 각각 숏폼 부문에서 장려상을 받았다. 학생들이 사업에 참여하며 얻은 경험을 영상으로 풀어내 외부에 혁신지원사업의 성과를 알리는 데 기여했다는 평가다.

교직원 부문에서도 의미 있는 사례가 나왔다. AI 활용 행정혁신 우수사례 공모전에서는 대학성과관리팀 김동균 담당관과 직업교육콘텐츠연구센터가 각각 장려상에 올랐다. 김 담당관은 생성형 AI인 Gemini와 GitHub를 활용해 별도의 개발비 없이 대학 성과관리 웹서비스를 구축한 점이 주목받았다. 실제 업무에서 디지털 전환의 효율성을 직접 입증했다는 평가다.

직업교육콘텐츠연구센터 역시 생성형 AI로 PPT, 영상 등 교육·행정 콘텐츠를 제작해 업무 효율을 높인 사례를 발표해 장려상을 수상했다.

이번 수상은 학생들의 학습과 성장 경험, 교직원들의 AI 기반 행정 개선이 동시에 인정받았다는 데 의의가 크다. 혁신 경험을 다양한 콘텐츠로 확산시키고, 생성형 AI를 대학 행정에 실질적으로 접목해 성과를 내기까지 한 셈이다.

이영은 대구보건대 혁신지원사업단장은 “학생들의 혁신 활동뿐 아니라, 교직원들도 생성형 AI를 실제 행정에 적용한 사례가 인정받아 더욱 의미 있다”라며 “앞으로도 교육과 행정 현장에서 혁신적인 사례를 적극 발굴해, 대학의 디지털 전환을 이끌겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Health College announced that it had three entries selected in the "Short-Form Video Content Contest" and two in the "Excellent Cases of Administrative Innovation Using AI Contest," which were held during the College Innovation Support Project Fall Workshop in Busan on August 27-28.

In the Short-Form Video Content Contest, the outstanding student club "Prime Innovation Team" received the National Research Foundation of Korea Chairman's Award (Grand Prize) for their video titled "[Level Up] Prime Club Created by Innovation." This video, featuring students Gu Su-hyeon and Jo Ho-seong from the Department of Clinical Pathology and Kim Do-hyeon from the Department of Nursing, naturally captured the stories of education, activities, and growth experienced while directly participating in the Innovation Support Project. The ‘Outstanding Student Club Challenge’ by ‘The Prime Team’ and ‘Our Story, Beyond the Page’ by the ‘Literature Salon Team’ also received honorable mentions in the short-form video category. They were recognized for contributing to publicizing the achievements of the innovation support project to the outside world by presenting the students’ experiences gained while participating in the project through video.

Meaningful cases also emerged in the faculty and staff category. In the competition for best practices in administrative innovation utilizing AI, Officer Kim Dong-gyun of the University Performance Management Team and the Vocational Education Content Research Center were each awarded honorable mentions. Officer Kim received attention for building a university performance management web service without separate development costs by utilizing the generative AI Gemini and GitHub. This was evaluated as directly demonstrating the efficiency of digital transformation in actual work.

The Vocational Education Content Research Center also won an honorable mention for presenting a case study demonstrating improved work efficiency by producing educational and administrative content, such as PPTs and videos, using generative AI.

The significance of these awards lies in the fact that students’ learning and growth experiences, as well as faculty and staff’s AI-based administrative improvements, were recognized simultaneously. It amounts to having disseminated innovative experiences through various content and even achieved results by practically integrating generative AI into university administration.

Lee Young-eun, Head of the Innovation Support Project Team at Daegu Health College, said, “It is even more meaningful that not only students’ innovative activities but also faculty and staff have been recognized for applying generative AI to actual administration,” adding, “We will continue to actively discover innovative cases in the fields of education and administration to lead the digital transformation of the university.”
