【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=경상북도의회(의장 김희수)가 의원들의 의정 활동 전문성을 높이고 현장 중심의 정책 역량을 강화하기 위해 실시한 의원연수회가 1박 2일의 일정을 모두 소화하고 4일 오전 폐회했다. 

경북도의회는 9월 3일부터 4일까지 양일간 포항 라한호텔에서 전체 의원이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 경상북도의회 의원연수회’를 진행했다.

이번 연수회는 급변하는 행정 환경과 지역 현안에 능동적으로 대응하기 위해 기획됐다. 연수 기간 의원들은 대구회생법원 이종길 부장판사의 형사소송 절차 특강을 비롯해 청탁금지법·이해충돌방지법 등 반부패·청렴 교육, 4대 폭력 예방 교육 등을 이수하며 전문 지식을 쌓았다.

특히 3일 열린 청렴서약식에서는 최연소 의원인 허지훈 의원(행정보건복지위원회)이 전체 의원을 대표해 서약서를 낭독하며 공정하고 투명한 의정 활동을 다짐했다.

연수 둘째 날인 4일에는 포항가속기연구소와 RIST인큐베이팅센터를 방문해 사업 현황을 둘러보고, 지역 미래 산업 발전 및 도민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 정책 방향을 모색하는 현장 의정 활동을 펼쳤다.

김희수 경상북도의회 의장은 “이번 연수회가 의원들의 정책 역량을 높이고 도민의 목소리에 더욱 귀 기울이는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 현장에서 답을 찾고, 도민의 삶에 실질적인 도움이 되는 정책을 만들어가는 ‘공부하는 의회’를 구현하겠다”고 강조했다.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council (Chairperson Kim Hee-soo) concluded its two-day training workshop on the morning of the 4th, having completed its schedule of one night and two days. The workshop was designed to enhance the professionalism of assembly members' legislative activities and strengthen field-oriented policy capabilities.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council held the ‘2026 Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council Members’ Training Workshop’ at the Lahan Hotel in Pohang for two days, from September 3rd to 4th, with all members in attendance.

This workshop was planned to proactively respond to the rapidly changing administrative environment and local pending issues. During the training period, the assembly members acquired specialized knowledge by completing various courses, including a special lecture on criminal procedural law by Presiding Judge Lee Jong-gil of the Daegu Bankruptcy Court, anti-corruption and integrity training covering the Anti-Graft Act and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and education on preventing the four major types of violence.

In particular, at the integrity pledge ceremony held on the 3rd, Assembly Member Heo Ji-hoon (Administration, Health and Welfare Committee), the youngest member, read the pledge on behalf of all members, pledging to engage in fair and transparent legislative activities.

On the 4th, the second day of the training, the members visited the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory and the RIST Incubating Center to review project status and conducted on-site legislative activities to explore policy directions for the development of future regional industries and the improvement of the quality of life for provincial residents. Kim Hee-soo, Chairman of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council, emphasized, “I hope this training session serves as an opportunity to enhance the policy capabilities of council members and listen more attentively to the voices of the provincial residents,” adding, “We will continue to realize a ‘studying council’ that finds answers on the ground and creates policies that provide tangible help to the lives of the residents.”
