봉화군은 지난 6일 부이 꽝 훙 호치민경제대학교 총장 등 대표단이 봉화군을 방문해 K-베트남 밸리 조성사업 추진 현황을 공유하고 향후 협력 방안을 협의했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문에는 UEH 대표단과 광운대, 경상북도, 관계 기관 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석했다. 대표단은 이날 오전 봉화군청에서 최기영 봉화군수를 만나 지역과 대학 간 교류 및 협력 가능성에 대해 의견을 나눴다.

이후 다문화커뮤니티센터에서 K-베트남 밸리 조성사업의 추진 현황과 주요 계획에 대한 설명을 듣고 양국 간 교류사업과 연계 가능한 협력 분야를 논의했다.

대표단은 봉화의 한-베트남 교류 역사와 관련된 현장도 둘러봤다. 국내에서 유일하게 베트남 리 왕조의 유적지로 알려진 충효당과 역사지구를 방문해 지역에 남아 있는 한-베트남 교류의 역사적 배경을 살펴봤다.

이번 방문은 봉화군이 추진하고 있는 K-베트남 밸리 조성사업의 협력 기반을 국내외로 확대하기 위해 마련됐다. 봉화군은 그동안 주한베트남대사관과 하노이대학교, 듀이탄대학교 등 베트남 관련 기관 및 대학과 교류를 이어왔다.

특히 이번 호치민경제대학교와 광운대의 참여를 계기로 대학 간 학술·문화 교류를 비롯해 K-베트남 밸리 조성사업과 연계한 다양한 협력사업이 추진될 수 있을 것으로 군은 기대하고 있다.

최기영 봉화군수는 “기존 자매결연 도시와의 교류를 바탕으로 베트남 대학과의 협력으로 교류의 범위를 넓혀가고 있다”며 “이번 방문을 계기로 한국과 베트남 간 우호 관계를 강화하고 K-베트남 밸리 조성사업의 협력 네트워크도 더욱 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

A delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) visited Bonghwa County to inspect the site of the K-Vietnam Valley development project and discuss ways to expand university and regional exchanges between Korea and Vietnam.

Bonghwa County announced that on the 6th, a delegation led by University of Economics President Bui Quang Hung visited the county to share the progress of the K-Vietnam Valley development project and discuss future cooperation plans.

Approximately 20 people attended the visit, including the UEH delegation, officials from Kwangwoon University, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and relevant agencies. On the morning of the visit, the delegation met with Bonghwa County Governor Choi Ki-young at the Bonghwa County Office to exchange views on the potential for exchange and cooperation between the region and the university.

Afterward, at the Multicultural Community Center, they received an explanation regarding the progress and key plans of the K-Vietnam Valley development project and discussed areas of cooperation that could be linked to exchange projects between the two countries.

The delegation also toured sites related to Bonghwa's history of Korea-Vietnam exchange. We visited Chung Hyo Dang and the Historic District, known as the only remaining historical site of the Vietnamese Ly Dynasty in Korea, to examine the historical background of Korea-Vietnam exchanges in the region.

This visit was arranged to expand the foundation of cooperation for the K-Vietnam Valley development project, which Bonghwa County is currently promoting, both domestically and internationally. Bonghwa County has maintained exchanges with Vietnamese institutions and universities, including the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, Hanoi University, and Duy Thanh University.

In particular, with the participation of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Kwangwoon University, the county expects that various cooperative projects linked to the K-Vietnam Valley development project, as well as academic and cultural exchanges between universities, can be pursued.

Bonghwa County Governor Choi Ki-young stated, "Building on existing exchanges with sister cities, we are expanding the scope of our exchanges through cooperation with Vietnamese universities." He added, "Taking this visit as an opportunity, we will strengthen friendly relations between Korea and Vietnam and further expand the cooperation network for the K-Vietnam Valley development project."
