구자근 국민의힘 국회의원(구미시갑)은 2027년도 정부예산안에 구미의 핵심 사업 84건, 국비 2,700억 6,100만 원이 편성됐다고 8일 밝혔다.
신규 사업도 11건 추가됐다. 이들 신규사업의 총 사업비는 2,260억 2,500만 원이며, 내년에만 316억 6,500만 원이 구미에 투입될 예정이다.
신규 추진사업으로는 대구권 광역철도(대경선) 예비차량 구매 140억 원, AX 실증산단 구축 50억 원, AI 중심 대학 사업 30억 원, 차세대 배터리 전극제조 테스트베드 15억 5,000만 원 등이 포함됐다.
미래산업 및 국가산단 경쟁력 강화 분야에는 신규·계속사업을 합쳐 1,207억 3,300만 원이 책정됐다. 방위산업, 이차전지, AI·AX, 반도체 등 지역 전략 산업의 연구개발과 실증, 인프라 구축, 전문인력 양성 기반을 마련하는 데 힘이 쏠린 셈이다.
특히 반도체 분야에서는 반도체특성화대학 지원 58억 원, 장비 챔버용 소재부품 테스트베드 35억 원, 소재부품 시험평가센터 30억 원, 시스템반도체 실증기반 구축 22억 8,200만 원 등이 포함됐다.
주민 생활환경 개선을 위한 사업도 소외되지 않았다. 오동제2교 철도횡단박스 확장(2억 9,500만 원), 봉곡천 재해 위험 개선(50억 원), 구미제1국가산단 공영주차장 조성(20억 원), 구미~군위 고속도로(13억 8,000만 원), 소담스퀘어(7억 원) 등도 예산안에 반영됐다.
구 의원은 “정부안에 반영된 예산을 국회 심의 과정에서 반드시 지켜내고, 부족한 부분은 추가 증액에 힘쓰겠다”며, “구미를 대한민국 반도체 소부장 산업의 대체 불가 중심지로 만들겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 이번 정부예산안은 국회 심의·의결 과정을 거치면서 사업 규모나 예산액이 달라질 수 있어 최종 확정 여부는 국회의 예산 심의 결과에 따라 결정될 전망이다.

Assemblyman Gu stated, “I will ensure that the budget reflected in the government proposal is preserved during the National Assembly’s deliberation process, and I will strive to secure additional increases for any shortfalls,” adding, “I will make Gumi an irreplaceable hub for South Korea’s semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment industry.”
