【브레이크뉴스 경산】진예솔 기자=경북 경산시가 지역 특성을 반영한 교육혁신 모델 구축에 나선다. 시는 지역 교육계와 대학, 유관기관 등 11개 기관과 손을 맞잡고 협력체계 구축에 본격적으로 나섰다.

경산시는 지난 8일 경산교육지원청 본관 대회의실에서 ‘경산형 교육혁신선도지역 구성 및 기획서 중간보고회’를 개최했다. 이 자리에서는 교육혁신 추진 방향과 공모사업 준비 상황을 공유했다.

이날 보고회에는 경상북도교육청, 경산시, 경산교육지원청, 경산시의회, 지역 대학 및 여러 유관기관 관계자들이 참석했다. 이들 기관은 지역 내 교육혁신을 위해 협력체계를 구축하고, 교육혁신선도지역 공모에 공동 대응하기 위한 업무협약도 체결했다.

교육혁신선도지역 공모사업은 2024년부터 2026년까지 시행된 교육발전특구 사업을 보완·개편한 것으로, 경산시가 최종 선정될 경우 2027년부터 2031년까지 최대 100억 원의 국비를 지원받을 수 있다.

경산시는 이번 공모를 통해 지역 교육 경쟁력을 높이고, 지역 인재 양성에서 취업, 정주로 이어지는 선순환 구조를 만들겠다는 목표를 세웠다.

특히 학교와 대학, 지역사회가 함께 참여하는 교육환경을 조성하고, 경산의 산업 및 교육 여건을 반영한 차별화된 교육혁신 모델을 발굴해 구체화할 예정이다.

이날 중간보고회에서는 현재 마련된 기획서 내용을 기관별로 공유하고 의견을 수렴했다. 또 앞으로의 공모사업 추진 방향과 협력 방안도 함께 논의했다.

경산시는 이후에도 관계 기관들과 지속적으로 협의해 기획서를 보완할 계획이다. 아울러 공모 선정에 대비해 행정적·재정적 지원책 마련에도 힘쓸 방침이다.

조현일 경산시장은 “교육혁신선도지역이 성공적으로 추진될 수 있도록 행정과 재정 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라며, “경산만의 특색을 담은 교육혁신 모델을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Through this project, Gyeongsan City aims to boost local educational competitiveness and create a virtuous cycle that connects local talent development with employment and long-term residency.

In particular, the city plans to create an educational environment involving schools, universities, and the local community, while developing and concretizing a differentiated educational innovation model that reflects Gyeongsan’s industrial and educational conditions.

During the interim briefing, participants shared the details of the current plan and gathered feedback from each organization. They also discussed the future direction of the project and strategies for cooperation.

Gyeongsan City plans to continue consulting with relevant agencies to refine the proposal. Additionally, the city intends to prepare administrative and financial support measures in anticipation of being selected for the project. Gyeongsan Mayor Cho Hyun-il stated, "We will spare no administrative or financial support to ensure the successful implementation of the Education Innovation Leading Region initiative," adding, "We will do our utmost to create an education innovation model that reflects Gyeongsan's unique characteristics."
