【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교 인테리어디자인과 학생들이 일본의 건축·인테리어 현장을 직접 찾아가 공간 디자인과 시공관리 실무를 몸소 익혔다.

영진전문대는 인테리어디자인과 2학년 학생 9명이 최근 5박 6일 일정으로 오사카, 교토, 효고 등 일본 주요 지역을 방문해 해외 선진기술 연수를 실시했다고 9일 밝혔다.

이번 연수는 교실에서 배운 이론을 실제 현장에서 확인하고, 학생들이 각자 진로에 필요한 실무 역량을 키우며 해외 취업 경험까지 넓힐 수 있도록 마련됐다. 학생들은 디자인 트랙과 시공관리 트랙으로 나뉘어 현장학습을 진행했다. 공간 기획, 마감재와 조명 등 디자인 요소부터 시공 디테일, 품질관리까지 전공별 내용들을 현장에서 살펴봤다.

학생들이 방문한 주요 공간은 아베노 하루카스, 난바파크스, LIXIL 오사카 쇼룸, 나카노시마 어린이 책의 숲 도서관, 아와지 유메부타이, 교토 신풍관, 다케나카 목공도구관 등으로, 일본의 대표적 상업·문화공간과 다양한 건축물들이다.

학생들은 해당 공간에서 이용자의 동선과 목적에 따라 설계가 어떻게 이뤄지는지, 마감재와 조명이 공간 분위기에 어떤 영향을 주는지 등을 직접 경험하고 분석했다.

한편, 영진전문대 인테리어디자인과는 ㈜국보디자인, ㈜삼원에스엔디, 두양건축㈜, ㈜다원앤컴퍼니 등 실내건축 분야 주요 기업들과 주문식교육 협약을 맺어 특강, 멘토링 등 현장 중심 교육을 꾸준히 시행하고 있다.

연수에 참가한 안소연 학생은 "일본의 독창적인 공간을 직접 경험하며 디자이너로서 시야가 넓어졌다"며 "해외 디자인 스튜디오나 기업에서 일하면서 글로벌 무대에 도전하고 싶다는 자신감도 생겼다"고 소감을 밝혔다.

권기태 인테리어디자인과 학과장은 "학생들이 세계적 수준의 건축과 인테리어 공간을 직접 경험하며 교실에서 배운 이론을 현장과 연결할 수 있는 의미 있는 기회였다"며 "앞으로도 디자인과 시공관리 등 학생들의 진로와 연계한 현장 중심 글로벌 교육을 확대해 나가겠다"고 전했다.

한편, 영진전문대 인테리어디자인과는 매년 수도권 주요 실내건축업체에 다수의 취업자를 배출하고 있으며, 2016년부터 2025년까지 대학생 전시디자인 공모전에서 산업통상자원부 장관상을 9차례 수상하는 등 실무 중심 교육에서 뛰어난 성과를 이어가고 있다.

Students from the Department of Interior Design at Yeongjin College visited construction and interior design sites in Japan to gain hands-on experience in space design and construction management.

Yeongjin College announced on the 9th that nine second-year students from the Department of Interior Design recently visited major regions in Japan, including Osaka, Kyoto, and Hyogo, for a 5-night, 6-day overseas training program focused on advanced technology.

Meanwhile, the Department of Interior Design at Yeongjin College has signed customized education agreements with major companies in the interior architecture field, such as Kukbo Design Co., Ltd., Samwon S&D Co., Ltd., Dooyang Architecture Co., Ltd., and Dawon & Company, and is consistently implementing field-oriented education, including special lectures and mentoring.

Student Ahn So-yeon, who participated in the training, shared her thoughts, stating, "Experiencing unique spaces in Japan firsthand broadened my perspective as a designer," and added, "Working at overseas design studios or companies has also given me the confidence to challenge myself on the global stage."

Kwon Ki-tae, Head of the Department of Interior Design, remarked, "It was a meaningful opportunity for students to directly experience world-class architecture and interior spaces, connecting the theories learned in the classroom with the field," and added, "We will continue to expand field-oriented global education linked to students' career paths, such as design and construction management."
