Daegu Health University Launches 19th Cohort of Wellness & Cultural Industry Executive Program… Exploring Leadership in the AI Era
The 19th cohort of the Wellness & Cultural Industry Executive Program at Daegu Health University has embarked on its new educational journey.
Daegu Health University announced that the opening ceremony for the 19th cohort was held on the 10th at Hotel Raonzena. Approximately 100 people—including members of the new cohort, university officials, and alumni from previous classes—attended the event to encourage the incoming participants.
The ceremony featured a welcoming address by Daegu Health University President Nam Sung-hee, a congratulatory speech by Lee Dae-young (President of the DHC TOP Alumni Association), and introductions of the 19th cohort members, followed by a networking session between current and past participants.
This 19th cohort focuses less on AI technology itself and more on how to integrate it with humanity and society. Under the theme "AI 2.0 (Artificial Intelligence × Authentic Insight)," the program builds upon the human-centric AI discussions of the previous 18th cohort, exploring future leadership grounded in the harmony between technology and humanity.
The program runs for a total of 15 sessions from September to December. It offers lectures and experiential activities that combine AI and changes in the economy and industry with diverse fields such as art, history, life sciences, and the humanities.
Key lectures include "AI 2.0" by Cho Yong-min (CEO of Unbound Lab Dev), "Great Insights from Art" by docent Jung Woo-chul, "The Future of Economy and Industry Reshaped by AI" by Kang Hyung-geun (CEO of HK & Company), and "Three Insights for Revealing One's True Self: Appearance, Speech, and Heart" by President Nam Sung-hee. In addition, Kang Su-jin, CEO of The Prompt Company, will introduce practical applications of generative AI, while Professor Park Hyun-do of Sogang University’s Institute for Euro-MENA Studies will deliver a lecture on the international political landscape and economic shifts. The program also includes CPR training and a lecture on leadership and fortune-telling by Park Seong-jun, head of the Park Seong-jun Feng Shui Research Institute.
Through this course, Daegu Health University aims to go beyond the mere acquisition of management knowledge; it seeks to provide participants with exposure to diverse perspectives and facilitate networking among peers, thereby fostering new ideas and professional connections.
Nam Sung-hee, President of Daegu Health University, stated, "What matters is not the technology itself, but how we connect that technology to people and society." She added, "I hope this program serves as an opportunity for participants to gain fresh insights into both life and business by exploring diverse fields—such as art, economics, industry, history, life sciences, and culture—and by engaging with one another."
Meanwhile, Daegu Health University’s Advanced Program in Wellness and Cultural Industries, launched in 2017, is designed for CEOs and covers a wide range of topics, including wellness, arts and culture, the humanities, and general liberal arts. Having produced 1,182 alumni to date, the program has established itself as a key network for the education and interaction of local community leaders.
