5일 경북도청에서 행된 적십자 특별회비 전달식에서 대한적십자사 경북지사(회장 김재왕)는 창립118주년 기념 대한적십자사 회비모금유공 회장 감사패를이 지사에게전달하고 이 지사로부터 특별회비를 전달받았다.

적십자 인도주의 운동을 위해 진행되는 적십자회비 모금 캠페인은2023년 12월 1일부터 2024년 1월 31일까지 1차 집중모금기간, 2024년 2월 15일부터 2024년 3월 31일까지 2차 집중모금기간으로 정하고 모금 활동을 전개 중이다.

적십자회비는 어려운 이웃을 돕기 위해 전 국민이 자율적으로 참여하는 국민 성금으로,도내 지진, 수해, 산불 등의 재난‧재해 발생 시 긴급 구호 활동과 이재민 지원 활동, 복지 사각지대의 위기가정 지원 등 국민 고통을 덜어주는 적십자 인도주의 활동에 사용된다.

이철우 경북도지사는“적십자 인도주의 활동을 위한 2024년 모금 캠페인에 첫 단추를 끼우게 돼 기쁘게 생각한다”면서,“뜻하지 않은 재난을 당하거나, 경제적 곤경에 처한 도민을 돕는 데 늘 앞장서는 대한적십자사 경북지사에 감사의 인사를 드린다”라며, “나눔문화 확산을 통해 지역사회 소외된 이웃들이 따뜻한 온정의 손길을 느낄 수 있도록 256만도민들의 많은 관심과 동참을 부탁드린다”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
