브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 올해 김장 비용은 지난해보다 소폭 줄어들 것으로 전망됐다. 

지난 여름 무와 배추 등 채소류 가격이 폭등해 올해 김장을 걱정하는 소비자가 늘었으나, 다행히 지난해와 비슷하거나 소폭 감소한 수준이다.  

한국물가정보가 15일 밝힌 이달 둘째 주 4인 가족 기준 김장비용을 조사한 결과, 전통시장에서는 30만6000원, 대형마트에서는 35만6000원이 들 것으로 분석됐다.

지난해 김장 비용이 전통시장 31만원, 대형마트 35만7000원이었던 것과 비교하면 비슷한 수준이거나 소폭 줄어들었다.

특히 올해 여름까지만 해도 '금배추'로 불리던 배추 가격이 가을에 접어들며 재배면적이 늘고 작황이 좋아져 전년 대비 가격이 크게 하락했다. 지난 여름 배추 한 포기 가격이 1만원도 넘어갔으나, 11월 중순 현재 한 포기당 4000원 선이다.

무와 대파는 생육 부진으로 지난해보다 가격이 조금 올라 무는 개당 2000원, 총각무는 1단에 4000원 선에 거래되고 있다.

올해는 양념류 중 김장에 많이 쓰이는 고춧가루와 생강, 소금, 마늘, 멸치액젓 등의 가격은 큰 폭으로 상승했다. 

다만 정부가 '김장 수급 안정 대책'을 발표하며 마늘, 고추, 소금 등의 비축 물량을 1만톤 이상 방출해 실제 물가는 크게 뛰지 않았다.

올해 김장 적기로는 수도권을 비롯한 중부지방과 남부 내륙지역은 11월 하순에서 12월 상순, 동해안은 12월 상순∼중순, 남해안은 12월 하순∼1월 상순으로 전망했다.

이동훈 한국물가정보 연구원은 "최근 품질이 좋은 고랭지 작물이 생산량이 많아 저렴하게 공급되고 있다"며 "11월까지는 고랭지 배추로, 12월 이후에는 남쪽 지역 배추로 김장하는 것이 올겨울 지혜로운 김장법이 될 것"이라고 조언했다.

However, the actual price did not jump significantly as the government released more than 10,000 tons of stockpiles of garlic, peppers, and salt as it announced "measures to stabilize the supply and demand of kimchi."

The central and southern inland areas, including the Seoul metropolitan area, are expected to be in late November to early December, the east coast is expected to be in early December to mid-December, and the southern coast is expected to be in late December to early January.

Lee Dong-hoon, a researcher at Korea Price Information, advised, "Recently, high-quality high-altitude crops are being supplied at low prices due to high-altitude cabbage by November and southern cabbage after December will be a wise kimchi method this winter."
