최 예비후보는 4일 오후 포항시에서 북콘서트를 개최하고 지지자들과 만나 경북 경제 재도약을 위한 비전을 제시했다. 이번 행사는 지난 2일 영주에서 열린 북콘서트에 이어 동해안 지역으로 소통 행보를 확대하는 차원에서 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 포항을 비롯해 경주, 영덕 등 동해안권 각지에서 지지자들이 참석해 행사장을 가득 메우며 높은 관심을 보였다.

특히 장경식 전 경북도의회 의장, 박용선 전 경북도의원 등 지역 정치권 인사와 사회단체 관계자들이 참석해 눈길을 끌었다. 공원식 포항시장 예비후보 측 관계자들도 행사장을 찾아 최 예비후보의 행보에 힘을 보탰다.

최 예비후보는 북콘서트에서 자신의 저서 ‘최경환입니다’를 중심으로 정치와 경제 분야에서의 경험을 소개하며 도정 비전을 설명했다. 그는 경제부총리 시절 추진했던 이른바 ‘초이노믹스’를 언급하며 경제 정책 경험을 강조했다.

최 예비후보는 “대한민국 경제 사령탑으로서 위기를 기회로 바꿨던 추진력과 경험을 경북 발전에 쏟아붓겠다”며 “정체된 지역 경제의 판을 바꾸고 새로운 성장 동력을 만들겠다”고 말했다.

또 “고향 경북의 발전을 위해 그동안 쌓아온 정책 경험과 정치 철학을 모두 바치겠다”고 강조했다.

한편 최 예비후보는 이날 북콘서트를 시작으로 경북 각 지역을 순회하며 도민들과의 소통 행보를 이어갈 계획이다.
