【브레이크뉴스 포항】오주호 기자=해병대 1사단 소속 정진욱 행정관(상사)이 1일 설 명절을 맞아 오천읍행정복지센터에 쌀10kg 50포(150만원 상당)를 지역 내 어려움을 겪는 이웃들에게 전해 달라며 기탁해 훈훈함을 더하고 있다.

 
정진욱 상사는 해병대 1사단 7연대 1대대 행정관으로 근무하며, 지난 1년 동안 매월 급여에서 매월 10만원을 떼어 조금씩 모아 백미를 직접 구입해 전달했다.

정진욱 상사는 “지역내 폐지 줍는 어르신들, 장애인분들을 종종 보던터라 기부라는 것은 다른 누군가에게 도움을 주는 동시에 나 자신에게도 기쁨을 주는 것”이라며 “복무하고 있는 지역사회에 도움을 주어 나의 작은 기부가 누군가에게는 커다란 기쁨이 될 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.

안승도 오천읍장은 “어려운 경제 사정 속에서 점점 나눔의 손길이 줄어드는데도 불구하고 이웃을 위해 기부 해주신 정진욱 상사님께 감사를 드리며, 전달받은 따뜻한 온정으로 모두가 행복해하는 오천읍 만들기에 더욱 노력하겠다”말했다.
