경주시는 15일 불국사 입구 일대에 조성된 공원 내 겹벚꽃이 최근 본격적인 개화를 시작했으며, 이번 주말 절정을 맞을 것으로 전망된다고 밝혔다.

공원에는 겹벚꽃나무 약 300여 그루가 군락을 이루고 있어 만개 시 산책로를 따라 화사한 분홍빛 꽃터널이 펼쳐진다. 머리 위로 쏟아지는 꽃잎 사이를 걷는 이색적인 봄 풍경이 방문객들의 발길을 사로잡고 있다.

실제로 현장에는 가족 단위 관광객과 연인, 친구들의 방문이 이어지며 사진 촬영과 산책을 즐기는 모습이 곳곳에서 눈에 띄고 있다. 특히 겹벚꽃 특유의 풍성한 꽃잎으로 ‘인생샷 명소’로 입소문을 타며 인기를 끌고 있다.
