㈜GH코리아(공동대표 김해곤·김재학)는 (주)태명실업과 'H형철도침목 상업화사업'을 위한 협약식을 갖고 본격적인 상업화사업에 들어간다고 10일 밝혔다.

㈜GH코리아에 따르면 이번 협약을 통해 ㈜GH코리아는 공동개발업체인 ㈜태명실업과 함께 H형철도침목 상업화사업에 박차를 가하며해외시장에도 진출할 예정이다.

H형철도침목은 중앙에 도상자갈 저항대가 있는 것이 가장 큰 특징으로  침목 사이의 도상자갈이 침목의 저항력을 증대시켜 선로의 안전성이 높아질 뿐 아니라 여름철 온도상승으로 레일이 늘어나 꺾이는 현상(장대레일의 장출현상)도 방지할 수 있어 장출로 인한 열차탈선사고를 원천적으로 봉쇄할 수 있다.

기존 일자형 철도 침목보다 안전성과 내구성, 유지 보수성, 경제성 면에서 뛰어나며 침목 변위량이 일자형보다 2분의 1 수준이라 유지보수 비용이 적게 소요되는 장점이 있다.

건설비도 도상 어깨자갈을 더 돋구지 않아도 돼 시공기 면폭도 줄일 수 있어 1㎞당 초기건설비를 기존 철도 침목과 비교하면 1,000만원이상 절약할 수 있으므로 예산절감 효과도 클 것으로 보인다.
