무엇보다 중증 시각장애인 당사자인 포항클리닝 황수경 과장은 ‘우리들의 블루스’ 라는 제목으로 동료 장애직원들과 오랜시간 함께 근무하며 ‘서로의 다름과 닮음’을 이해하고, 인간의 가치를 발견해가는 과정에 대해 진솔하게 이야기해 많은 감동과 여운을 남기기도 했다.

포스코휴먼스는 이날 지역별 모범사원 4명을 선정해 표창을 수여했다.

이밖에도 19일, 포스코휴먼스 포항지역 임직원 약 20명은 ‘제44회 장애인의 날 기념’, 한마당축제 및 장애인 취업박람회 행사에 참여했다.

포항시가 주최하고 포항시장애인단체연합회에서 주관하는 이번 행사에 지역 장애인과 장애인 가족 등이 안전하게 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 포스코휴먼스 직원들이 안전 패트롤 및 배식 봉사활동에 참여하고, 기업 홍보부스 운영으로 취업상담 등 채용정보를 제공하기도 했다.

포스코휴먼스 이성록 사장은 “장애인의 날을 맞아 우리 회사의 정체성에 대해 다시 한번 깊이 되새기고, 장애·비장애 직원 등 다양한 구성원들이 하나의 공동체로서 누구 하나 소외됨 없이 평등하고 행복하게 살아갈 수 있도록 지원하는데 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
