【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)이 수업 혁신을 선도할 중등 교사학습공동체 ‘신(新)퇴계 교사단’ 3기를 구성하고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다고 14일 밝혔다.

‘신퇴계 교사단’은 교과별 교원학습공동체로, 교과 내용과 수업 전문성을 중심으로 연구와 실천을 병행하는 교사 주도형 조직이다. 경북의 교육적 전통을 반영해 이황 선생의 교육 철학을 계승하고, 그 성과를 학교 현장 전반으로 확산하는 것을 목표로 한다.

교사단은 2024년 1기 10개 교과 225명으로 시작해, 2025년 2기 15개 교과 290명으로 확대됐으며, 올해 3기는 15개 교과 350명 규모로 운영되며 지속적인 성장세를 보이고 있다.

특히 3기는 공개 모집을 통해 선발된 교사들의 자발적 참여를 기반으로 구성됐으며, 교과 특성을 반영한 학생 중심 질문·탐구형 수업 모델 개발과 현장 적용에 중점을 두고 운영된다.

또한 교사단 활동은 수업전문가 활동과 연계돼 교사 개인의 전문성 향상과 공동체 기반 연구가 유기적으로 이어지는 선순환 구조를 형성하고 있다는 점에서 주목된다.

참여 교사들은 학생 주도형 수업 연구 및 연수, 질문탐구 수업 실천, 교과 융합 수업 운영, AI·디지털 기반 수업 혁신, 수업 나눔 릴레이 운영, 수업 컨설팅 및 교수학습 자료 개발 등 다양한 활동을 통해 교실 수업 개선을 이끌고 있다.

특히 ‘수업 나눔 릴레이’는 2024년 75회, 2025년 150회 운영되며 현장의 높은 호응을 얻었으며, 2026년에는 운영 규모와 질을 한층 확대할 계획이다.

경북교육청은 앞으로도 교사들의 자발적 연구와 협력을 기반으로 한 수업 혁신이 지속적으로 확산될 수 있도록 연수와 지원 정책을 강화해 나갈 방침이다.

임종식 교육감은 “자발적으로 참여해 교과의 다양성과 융합을 바탕으로 수업을 연구하고 나누는 교사들이 교실 변화를 이끄는 핵심”이라며 “교사들의 연구와 실천이 학교 현장에 깊이 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Notably, the "lesson sharing relay" was conducted 75 times in 2024 and 150 times in 2025, receiving a highly positive response from the field, and there are plans to further expand the scale and quality of operations in 2026.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to continue strengthening training and support policies to ensure that instructional innovation based on teachers' voluntary research and collaboration can continue to spread.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik stated, “Teachers who voluntarily participate in researching and sharing lessons based on subject diversity and convergence are the core driving change in the classroom,” adding, “We will actively support teachers so that their research and practices can take deep root in the school field.”
