【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=달성문화재단(이사장 최재훈) 달성문화도시센터는 국내 최초 피아노 유입지인 사문진 나루터를 배경으로 시민과 함께 만들어 가는 파크 오페라 ‘사문진– 피아노, 그 첫 번째 이야기’ 공연을 개최한다.

이번 공연은 10월 5일부터 이틀간 사문진상설야외공연장에서 열리는 ‘2024 달성가족문화축제’와 함께 진행되며 오페라 공연과 더불어 모두가 소통하고 즐길 수 있는 축제의 장을 꾸린다는 취지로, 체험부스, 포토존, 전시존 등 다양한 문화 체험을 즐길 수 있다.

달성군은 국내 최초 유입지인 피아노 소재를 다양한 콘텐츠에 활용하고 있다. 사문진 야외공연장에서 11회에 걸쳐 진행된 ‘달성 100대 피아노’는 문화체육관광부 주관 ‘로컬 100’에 선정되었다. 이에 더해 법정문화도시로 선정된 달성군은 피아노를 소재로 한 창작 오페라인 시민참여형 ‘사문진-피아노, 그 첫 번째 이야기’를 새롭게 기획했다.

시민과 함께 문화를 만들어 가는 것을 목표로, 전문 예술인의 영역이었던 오페라 무대를 전문 예술인과 시민이 함께 준비한다. 지역민이 문화 향유자에서 문화창조자로 거듭나는 경험을 제공한다는 목표다.

이번 공연은 ‘파크오페라’로 명명했다. 실내에서 주로 열리던 기존의 오페라와 달리 화원동산 사문진상설야외공연장에서 퍼포먼스를 펼치는 것은 물론, 관객들도 공원 잔디밭에서 편안하게 공연을 관람할 수 있기 때문이다.

달성문화도시센터는 시민참여형 오페라라는 행사 취지에 맞춰 음악 대학 졸업 후 경력이 단절된 성악인, 가곡 동호인, 평소 노래와 연기에 관심이 많은 시민 등 오페라 무대를 꿈꾸는 시민 참여자 15명을 올해 6월 오디션으로 선발했다.

이들은 김민하(세천 역), 박형은(유가 역), 장재균(사보담 역), 이현진(에피 역) 등 4명과 단역을 맡는다. 또한 달성군민들로 이루어진 달성군립 여성합창단과 시민들을 포함한 오케스트라가 함께한다. 주역에는 전문 예술인인 소프라노 윤성회(하빈 역), 테너 석정엽(현풍 역), 바리톤 추장환(정보 역), 바리톤 정재훈(단산 역)이 시민들과 함께 출연한다.

이번 공연의 내용은 밀려오는 서양 문화를 받아들이고 빠르게 변화하는 1900년 대한제국, 사문진 나루터에는 각 지역에서 뱃길을 이용해 들어온 특산물과 박래품, 또 그것을 사고파는 상인과 손님으로 활력이 넘친다.

반가의 여식 하빈은 사문진 나루터로 들어오는 새로운 문물에 관한 호기심을 가지고 매일 나루터로 나온다. 그러다 사보담 선교사를 만나고 음악의 매력에 빠져 피아노를 가져오겠다고 약속을 한다.

하지만 사람들은 그런 하빈의 행동이 푸른 눈 도깨비에게 홀린 것이라며 안타까워한다. 하빈의 아버지 윤단산은 빠르게 변하는 나라를 걱정하며 딸의 경거망동을 꾸짖게 된다.

하빈은 그런 아버지가 이해되지 않고 피아노를 가지고 오겠다고 했던 약속을 지킬 수 없게 되자 실의에 빠진다. 그러자 신분의 차이 때문에 남몰래 하빈을 연모하던 현풍이 피아노를 가져오겠다며 뱃길을 나서는 내용으로 구성된다.

공연은 10월 5일 토요일 오후 7시 30분에 사문진상설야외공연장에서 전석 무료로 개최한다.

한편 이번 파크오페라 공연에서는 다채로운 문화콘텐츠를 담은 ‘2024 달성가족문화축제’도 함께 펼쳐져 더욱 대중적인 행사가 될 전망이다. 축제는 오페라 공연 당일인 5일 오후 1시에 막을 열며, 이틀간 진행한다. 달성군은 건강한 가족 놀이문화의 확산 및 문화예술 향유 기회를 늘리기 위해 이 같은 축제를 준비했다.

법정문화도시로 지정된 달성군은 문화도시조성사업으로 만들어진 콘텐츠를 기반으로 ▲달성군 권역별 특화 체험프로그램 ▲기획학교 수료생과 함께 하는 미션 게임 ▲IMAGIN-2000사업에 참여한 지역예술인들의 공연 ▲지역학교연계형 생태체험프로그램 등 관람객 누구나 함께 즐길 수 있는 여러 프로그램을 운영한다.

축제의 분위기를 한층 고조시킬 ‘에그박사’의 생태퀴즈쇼(5일)와 ‘엄마까투리’ 뮤지컬 공연(6일)도 준비돼 있다.

축제는 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 생태해설사와 함께하는 생태탐험대 등 일부 프로그램은 사전 신청이 필요하다. 사전 신청은 9월 30일부터 가능하며, 자세한 내용은 달성문화도시센터 홈페이지나 SNS에서 확인 가능하다.

The ‘Dalseong 100 Great Pianos’, which was held 11 times at the Samunjin Outdoor Performance Hall, was selected as ‘Local 100’ by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition, Dalseong-gun, which was selected as a legal cultural city, planned a new citizen participation type creative opera using the piano as the subject, ‘Samunjin-Piano, the First Story’.

Banga's daughter, Ha-bin, comes to the ferry terminal every day out of curiosity about the new culture coming into the Samunjin ferry terminal. Then, she meets missionary Sabo-dam and falls in love with the charm of music, promising to bring a piano.

However, people feel sorry for Ha-bin's behavior, saying that she is possessed by a blue-eyed goblin. Ha-bin's father, Yoon Dan-san, is worried about the rapidly changing country and scolds his daughter for her reckless actions.

Ha-bin becomes disillusioned when her father does not understand her and cannot keep his promise to bring her a piano. Then, due to their differences in status, Hyeon-pung, who has been secretly in love with Ha-bin, sets out on a boat trip to bring her a piano.

The performance will be held free of charge at the Samunjin Permanent Outdoor Performance Hall on Saturday, October 5th at 7:30 PM.

Meanwhile, the '2024 Dalseong Family Cultural Festival', which contains various cultural contents, will also be held at this Park Opera performance, making it an even more popular event. The festival will open at 1 PM on the 5th, the day of the opera performance, and will run for two days. Anyone can participate in the festival, and some programs, such as the ecological exploration team with an ecological interpreter, require advance registration. Advance registration is available from September 30, and detailed information can be found on the Dalseong Cultural City Center website or SNS.
