한국건강관리협회(회장 채종일, 이하 ‘건협’)는 저소득층 여성청소년의 건강한 생활 영위를 위한 후원금 2억 원을 굿네이버스에 기탁했다고 29일 밝혔다.

지난 25일 진행된 기탁식에는 건협 최상철 홍보기획실장, 굿네이버스 황성주 나눔마케팅본부장 등이 참석했다.

이날 전달된 후원금은 전국 저소득가정 여성청소년 약 3,000여명을 위한 보건위생물품(생리대 및 관련용품) KIT 제작에 사용될 예정이다.

건협 채종일 회장은“저소득가정 여성청소년들의 위생용품 부담이 사회적 문제가 되면서정부와 기업들의 지원사업이 활발해졌으나 여전히 도움을 필요로 하는 곳이 많다. 이번 후원을 통해 복지사각지대의 청소년들에게 응원과 지지의 마음이 전해졌으면 한다”고 말했다.

건협은 저소득층 여성청소년의 건강한 성장을 돕고 심리적ㆍ경제적 부담을 경감시키기위해 2019년부터 3년 연속 본 사업을 진행하고 있다. 이외에도 학대피해아동지원,시설거주아동의 학습지원, 장애인 특화차량 지원 및 희귀ㆍ난치성질환자들의 의료비 지원 등 복지 취약계층을 위한 후원 활동을 이어갈 예정이다.
