‘어린이 교통안전 릴레이 챌린지’ 는 어린이보호 최우선 문화정착과어린이 교통사고 예방에 대한 국민적 공감대 형성을 위해 지난해 12월 행정안전부에서 시작한 참여형 캠페인이다.

어린이 교통안전 슬로건인 “1단 멈춤! 2쪽 저쪽! 3초 동안! 4고 예방!”이 적힌 팻말을 함께 든 사진을 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에 게시하고 차기 릴레이 참여자를 추천하는방식으로 진행하고 있다.

최삼룡 대구경북경제자유구역청장은 ‘#어린이교통안전’, ‘#DGFEZ’ 등의 해시태그를 달아 대구경북경제자유구역청 공식 페이스북에 게시했다.

최 청장은 “이번 챌린지를 통해 어린이의 안전을 최우선으로 하는 교통 문화가 확산되길 바란다.” 며 “대구경북경제자유구역청은 경제자유구역 내 모든 어린이보호구역에서 미래의 주역인 어린이들이 안전하게 생활 할 수 있도록 교통 사고를 예방 할 수 있는 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다.” 고 말했다.

한편, 최 청장은 차기 릴레이 주자로 경일대학교 정현태 총장과 대구경북첨단의료산업진흥재단 이영호 이사장을 지목했다.
