포항시의회(정해종 의장)는 행동강령자문위원회를 구성하고 자문위원 위촉식을 가졌다고 지난 9일 밝혔다.

이날 행동강령자문위원회 위원에는 윤상홍 변호사, 정용찬 변호사, 김준홍 포항대 교수, 송인호 한동대 교수, 홍성철 선린대 교수, 진정숙 포항YMCA 총장, 지홍선 커뮤니케이션 대표, 지역언론인 등 분야별로 다양하게 구성됐다.

위원의 임기는 3년으로, 1회에 한해 연임할 수 있으며 위원회는 시의원들의 행동강령조례 위반사항, 교육·상담에 관한 사항, 조례의 준수여부에 대한 점검에 관한 사항 등을 다루게 된다.

정해종 의장은 “의회의 역할과 권한이 강화되는 만큼, 시민들은 의원들에게 높은 청렴도와 함께 행동강령 준수여부를 중요하게 여기고 있다”며 “의원들이 시민들에게 신뢰받을 수 있도록 자문위원들의 아낌없는 지원과 고견 등 적극적인 협조를 당부드린다”고 말했다.
