푸드존 ‘기파랑’은 다양한 먹거리부족과 휴식공간이 부족하다는 관람객들의 지적에 따라 기존 컨테이너 매점을 철거하고 그 자리에 168㎡(50평) 규모의 단층 철골구조로 지어 편의점을 입점하고 40여 석의 테이블을 설치해 관람객들이 휴식과 함께 라면, 과자, 음료수 등의 먹거리를 구입해 먹을 수 있도록 했다.
경주엑스대공원은 올해 초 실시한 관람객 대상 설문조사를 토대로 이용객들의 불편사항을 적극 반영해 먹거리 및 휴식공간 등 편의시설 개편을 단계적으로 추진해 왔다
경주타워와 솔거미술관에서 운영 중인 카페 2곳에 의자교체 등 시설물을 보완하고 문화센터 내에 무인편의점도 새롭게 설치했다.
문화센터 1층 갤러리 옆 72㎡ 공간에 들어선 무인편의점에는 음료와 과자류를 구입할 수 있는 자판기 3대와 앉아서 음식을 먹을 수 있는 테이블 6세트 등을 갖추었다.
류희림 경주엑스포대공원대표는 “푸드존 ‘기파랑’ 오픈으로 관람객들의 불편을 조금이라도 덜 수 있게 돼 기쁘다. 모두가 꽃이 되는 행복한 정원! 365일 힐링테마파크를 만들어가기 위해 관람객들의 불편사항 및 안전을 최우선적으로 개선해 나가는데 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
