공사에 따르면 이번 후원물품 전달은 지난 8월 14일 강진호 사장이 취임하며 의례적으로 전달되어 오는 화환을 정중히 사양하고, 대신 관내 어려운 이웃에게 따뜻한 마음을 전달하고자 하는 취지로 쌀, 라면 등의 식료품을 받아 전달하게 됐다.

강진호 공사 사장은 “추석 연휴를 맞이하여 이렇게 따뜻한 나눔을 실천할 수 있어서 매우 기쁘고, 비록 많은 양은 아니지만 꼭 필요한 어려운 이웃에게 전달되어 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다. 또 공영공사의 사회공헌활동을 보다 더 적극적으로 실천하며 나눔문화 확산과 지역주민 삶의 질 향상에 관심과 노력을 기울여나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
