【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 아양아트센터가 ‘지금 우리는-문상직 초대전’을 개최한다고 4일 밝혔다.

오는 16일부터 27일까지 아양갤러리에서 진행되는 전시는 문상직 작가의 최근 작품 20여 점과 연도별 중요 작품 30여 점을 함께 선보인다.

문상직 작가는 자연에 순응하며 살아가는 양(羊)을 소재로 한 작품을 통해 복잡한 현대 사회를 살아가는 이들에게 치유와 위안의 메시지를 전한다.

작품 활동뿐만이 아니라 남북미술교류 추진위원장, 대한민국미술대전 운영 및 심사위원 등 다양한 대외활동을 통해 대한민국 미술 문화 발전에 공헌하고 있는 작가는 ‘팔공산예술인회’를 창단해 예술가들의 창작 활동을 물심양면으로 돕고 있다.

아양아트센터 관계자는 “지난 2021년 동구 지역 미술가 21명의 자료를 수집해 그들의 작품세계를 알리는 아양아트센터 홈페이지 아카이브(ON-SCREEN)를 운영 중이다”며 “매년 1~2명씩 선정 후 초대전을 개최해 그들의 기록을 수정‧보완할 계획이다”고 말했다.

Daegu Ayang Art Center announced on the 4th that it will hold the ‘Now We Are - Moon Sang-jik Invitational Exhibition’.

The exhibition, which will be held at Ayang Gallery from the 16th to the 27th, will present around 20 of Moon Sang-jik’s recent works and around 30 of his important works by year.

Moon Sang-jik delivers a message of healing and comfort to those living in a complex modern society through his works featuring sheep that live in harmony with nature.

In addition to his artistic activities, the artist has also contributed to the development of Korean art culture through various external activities such as serving as the chairman of the Inter-Korean Art Exchange Promotion Committee and as a judge for the Korean Art Exhibition. He has also founded the ‘Palgongsan Artists Association’ to support the creative activities of artists in both material and spiritual ways.

An official from Ayang Art Center said, “We are currently operating the Ayang Art Center website archive (ON-SCREEN) to introduce their works by collecting data on 21 artists in the Dong-gu area in 2021,” adding, “We plan to select 1-2 artists every year and hold invitational exhibitions to revise and supplement their records.”
