【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원(이하 대구행복진흥원)이 교통복지사업 ‘다 함께 대구로’의 일환으로 자립준비청년 100명에게 교통카드 총 3천만원을 지원했다.

이번 사업은 아동양육시설, 공동생활가정, 가정위탁시설 보호 종료 3년 이내 또는 올해 12월까지 보호 종료 예정인 청년, 대구시청소년자립지원관 사례관리 대상자 가운데 만 18세 이상 대구 거주자를 대상으로 했다. 대구시 교육청소년과 추천을 받아 총 100명을 선정했고, 이들에게 연 3회에 걸쳐 1인당 10만 원씩 총 30만 원의 교통비를 지원한다.

‘다多 함께 대구로路’ 사업은 장기 미사용 교통카드 충전선수금을 활용해 교통약자에게 실질적인 지원을 제공하는 시민복지 사업이다. 대구광역시, (주)iM유페이, 대구사회복지공동모금회가 협약을 맺고 추진하며, 대구행복진흥원이 위탁 운영하고 있다.

이번 지원은 올해로 5년째를 맞았으며, 최근에는 보호 종료 청년뿐 아니라 보호 연장 청년에게까지 대상을 확대했다. 대중교통 이용 활성화와 교통 접근성 향상을 통해 자립준비청년의 지역 정착과 안정적인 자립을 뒷받침하고 있다.

이와 함께 대구행복진흥원은 탄소중립 실천과 대중교통 이용을 장려하기 위한 ‘All 타’ 이벤트도 진행 중이다. 만 14세 이상 대구 시민이 월 2회 이상 버스나 도시철도를 이용하면, 홈페이지(https://daegu.pass.or.kr)를 통해 참여 신청할 수 있으며, 추첨을 통해 매월 440명에게 5만 원 상당의 교통카드를 증정한다.

배기철 대구행복진흥원 이사장은 “이번 지원이 자립준비청년의 삶에 실질적인 도움이 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 사회적 배려가 필요한 청년을 위한 복지 사업을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
