경주시에 따르면 지난 3일 문을 연 ‘라원’에는 개장 3일 만에 총 7,271명이 방문한 것으로 집계됐다.

라원은 경감로 233 일원에 6만8,810㎡ 규모로 조성된 복합문화정원으로, 신라의 역사와 자연을 현대적으로 재해석한 체험형 콘텐츠를 집약한 것이 특징이다. ‘신라 8괴’를 모티프로 한 야외 정원과 디지털 기반 실내 전시가 결합돼 전통과 첨단이 어우러진 공간으로 구성됐다.
