경북교육청은 17일, 이번 사업을 통해 각 학교가 자율성을 바탕으로 진로와 적성 중심의 교육과정 운영을 확대하고, 고교학점제 정착 기반을 한층 강화할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
선정된 학교에는 학교별로 최대 1,000만 원의 사업비가 지원된다. 학교들은 이 예산을 활용해 진로와 연계한 교과 융합 프로젝트, 학생 맞춤형 학업 설계 지도, 학업 설계 포트폴리오 구축 등 다양한 프로그램을 자율적으로 운영할 예정이다.
특히 학생들이 자신의 진로에 맞는 학업 경로를 설계할 수 있도록 과목 선택 안내를 강화하고, 프로젝트형·참여형 수업을 확대할 방침이다. 또 교원 대상 교육과정 설계 및 진로지도 역량 강화 연수도 병행된다.
경북교육청은 현장 점검과 모니터링을 통해 사업 운영 상황을 지속적으로 점검하고, 우수 사례를 발굴해 다른 학교로 확산할 계획이다.
임종식 경북교육감은 “학생이 스스로 진로를 설계하는 교육 환경을 조성하는 것이 가장 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 교원의 교육과정 설계 역량을 높여 일반고 교육의 질을 계속해서 끌어올리겠다”고 말했다.
