경북교육청(교육감 임종식)이 오는 2022년 도내 모든 일반고와 자공고를 고교학점제 연구·선도학교로 지정 운영한다. 

도 교육청은 고교 교육의 종합적 혁신을 위해 교육부와 함께 ‘2025년 고교학점제 전면 적용을 위한 단계적 이행 계획’을 마련하고 고교학점제 운영체제로의 신속한 전환을 중점적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이에 따라 선도적으로 2022년에 도내 전 일반계고를 고교학점제 연구·선도학교로 지정해 운영한다.

이어 2023년부터 고1(현 중2) 교육과정은 학점제형 교육과정을 부분 적용하며 이에 따라 수업량 기준이 단위에서 학점으로 변경되고, 총 이수학점은 기존 204단위(2,890시간)에서 192학점(2,720시간)으로 수업량을 적정화한다.

 또한, 공통과목인 국어, 수학, 영어에는 최소 학업성취수준 보장 지도를 적용하며 2024년에는 고2까지 적용이 확대된다. 2025년에는 고등학교 전 학년에 192학점 체제를 적용할 예정이다. 

 경북교육청은 원활하고 안정적인 단계적 이행과 교원의 부담을 경감하기 위해 올 하반기에 학생 진로·학업 설계를 위한 학교 업무 재구조화 방안 마련, 수업량 적정화 모델 구안, 공통과목 최소학업성취 보장지도 방안 수립 및 성취평가제 운영 역량 강화를 중점적으로 지원한다. 

신설과목 및 다과목 지도 역량 강화 연수 및 선택과목 교수학습 자료 확대 보급도 지속적으로 추진한다.  

 또한, 교육과정과 연계한 학점제형 공간 조성을 위해 교과교실제, 다목적 가변형 교실, 온라인 공동교육과정 스튜디오, 배움과 휴식이 공존하는 학교 공간 등을 위해 지속적으로 지원하고 있다.   

 임종식 교육감은 “고교학점제의 안착을 위해서 교원, 학부모 등 다양한 교육 주체들과 함께 소통하며 학생의 성장을 돕는 맞춤형 교육을 제공할 수 있도록 경북에 맞는 정책 수립과 구현을 위해 적극적이고 체계적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
