경주시보건소는 오는 24일 ‘결핵예방의 날’을 계기로 3월 22일부터 28일까지를 ‘결핵예방주간’으로 지정하고, 이동검진과 온‧오프라인 홍보를 연계한 집중 예방 활동을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 예방주간에는 시민들의 결핵에 대한 경각심을 높이고 조기 검진 참여를 유도하기 위한 다양한 홍보가 병행된다. 시는 읍·면·동 행정복지센터와 버스승강장 전광판을 활용해 결핵 예방수칙과 보건소 검진 안내를 집중적으로 알리고, 보건소 홈페이지 팝업 등 온라인 채널을 통해서도 관련 정보를 제공할 계획이다.

의료 접근성이 낮은 지역에 대한 지원도 강화한다. 보건지소와 보건진료소에는 65세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 무료 결핵검진 안내 포스터를 부착해 검진 참여를 유도한다.

이와 함께 오는 25일부터 26일까지 이틀간 의료 취약계층 약 160명을 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 결핵 이동검진’을 실시한다. 이동검진에서는 흉부 X선 검사를 진행하고, 기침 등 의심 증상이 있거나 이상 소견이 확인될 경우 객담 검사를 추가 실시해 조기 진단과 치료로 연계할 방침이다.

해당 사업은 대한결핵협회와 협력해 추진되며, 주야간보호센터와 경로당 등을 직접 방문해 검진을 진행하고 있다. 시는 올해 1월부터 매월 취약계층을 대상으로 정기 검진을 실시하고 있으며, 상반기에는 초기 검진에 집중하고 하반기에는 유소견자 대상 추적검진을 강화할 계획이다.

진병철 경주시보건소장은 “결핵은 조기 발견과 꾸준한 치료를 통해 완치가 가능한 질환”이라며 “2주 이상 기침이 지속되는 등 의심 증상이 있을 경우 가까운 보건소를 방문해 검진을 받길 바란다”고 말했다.

The Gyeongju City Public Health Center announced that, coinciding with ‘Tuberculosis Prevention Day’ on the upcoming 24th, it has designated the period from March 22 to 28 as ‘Tuberculosis Prevention Week’ and will implement intensive prevention activities linking mobile screenings with online and offline promotion.

During this prevention week, various promotional activities will be conducted to raise citizens' awareness of tuberculosis and encourage participation in early screenings. The city plans to intensively disseminate information on tuberculosis prevention guidelines and health center screenings using electronic display boards at Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers and bus stops, and will also provide relevant information through online channels, such as pop-ups on the health center's website.

Support for areas with limited access to medical care will also be strengthened. Public health sub-centers and clinics are displaying posters informing seniors aged 65 and older about free tuberculosis screenings to encourage participation.

In addition, a "mobile tuberculosis screening" program will be conducted for approximately 160 medically vulnerable individuals over two days, from the 25th to the 26th.
