【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=권기일 대구 동구청장 예비후보가 오는 14일 신암동 선거사무소에서 ‘소통 방문의 날’ 행사를 개최한다. 

이날 행사는 오전 9시부터 오후 9시까지 사무소를 개방해, 주민들이 자유롭게 드나들며 지역 현안과 정책에 대한 의견을 나눌 수 있도록 마련됐다.

이번 행사는 기존의 형식적인 개소식에서 벗어나, 주민 누구나 편하게 방문해 정책을 제안하고 실질적인 대화를 나누는 데 중점을 뒀다. 

권 예비후보는 ‘찾고 싶은 동구’ 조성을 위한 주요 구상도 직접 설명할 계획이다. 주요 과제로는 AI 기반 디지털 스마트 도시 구축, 청년과 기업 연결을 통한 일자리 가교, 2차 공공기관 유치로 혁신도시 기능 강화, 팔공산 국립공원 명소화와 금호강 수변 개발, 도시철도 4호선(모노레일) 추진 등이 포함됐다.

권 예비후보는 “구청장 후보의 사무실이 언제든 주민들에게 열려 있어야 한다”며, “권위적인 형식보다 주민의 삶을 직접 챙기는 모습으로 ‘진짜 일꾼’이 되겠다”고 말했다.

정책·행정 경험을 바탕으로 현장 중심의 소통 행정을 펼치겠다는 의지를 밝힌 권 예비후보는 그동안 국회의원 보좌관, 대구시의원, 대구교육청 대외협력실장 등을 역임했다.

Kwon, a prospective candidate, stated, "The office of a district mayor candidate should be open to residents at all times." He added, "I will become a 'true worker' by directly caring for residents' lives, rather than relying on an authoritarian approach."

Kwon, who has expressed his commitment to a field-oriented, communicative administration based on his policy and administrative experience, has previously served as a National Assembly aide, a Daegu City Council member, and the Director of External Cooperation at the Daegu Office of Education.
