【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시청자미디어센터와 경상북도교육청정보센터가 디지털·미디어 교육 협력을 위해 손을 잡았다.

양 기관은 지난 10일, 지역 학생과 교직원, 도민들의 디지털·미디어 활용 능력 향상을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다. 이번 협약으로 두 기관은 경북 지역을 대상으로 한 미디어 교육 프로그램을 공동 운영하고, 관련 교육 과정과 교재도 함께 개발할 예정이다. 미디어 리터러시, 콘텐츠 제작, 인공지능 활용 등 실질적인 정보화 역량을 강화하는 데 중점을 둔다.

또한 지역 특성을 반영한 실습 중심 프로그램을 개발해 시범 운영하고, 교사 연수와 교육자 역량 강화 프로그램도 공동 기획한다는 계획이다. 앞으로는 공동 연구와 성과 공유를 위한 정기 협의체도 함께 운영할 방침이다.

양 기관은 우선 파일럿 프로그램을 설계해 시범 운영한 뒤, 그 결과와 지역의 실제 수요를 반영해 프로그램을 점차 확대할 계획이다. 실습형 워크숍, 교사 대상 연수, 지역 특화 콘텐츠 제작 과정 등도 단계적으로 도입한다는 구상이다.

황원식 경상북도교육청정보센터장은 “디지털 대전환 시대에 AI와 미디어 활용 능력은 이제 선택이 아닌 필수”라며 “지역민 모두가 양질의 디지털 교육을 받고 스스로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

왕현호 대구시청자미디어센터장은 “이번 협약을 계기로 지역사회 미디어 교육의 협력 기반이 한층 더 넓어지게 됐다”며 “학생과 교직원, 지역민 모두가 실질적인 역량을 키울 수 있도록 실습 중심 교육 지원에 힘쓰겠다”고 전했다.
