영천상공회의소는 24일 지역사랑 프로젝트의 일환으로 영천시장학회에 장학금 1천만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이번 장학금은 손동기 회장을 비롯한 상공회의소 회원사들이 뜻을 모아 마련한 것으로, 지역 학생들의 학업 지원과 인재 양성을 위해 사용될 예정이다.

영천상공회의소는 창립 이후 지속적으로 장학금을 기탁해 왔으며, 이번 기탁을 포함해 누적 기부액은 총 1억 5,200만 원에 달한다.

손동기 회장은 “지역의 미래를 이끌어갈 인재들이 안정적인 환경에서 꿈을 키워나갈 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
