대구상의 지식재산센터 중소기업 IP바로 지원서비스로 재산권 권리화 등 구체화

【브레이크뉴스 대구 】이성현 기자=대구상공회의소(회장 이재하) 지식재산센터가 운영하는 중소기업IP바로지원서비스 사업이 지역기업의 매출 향상에 지렛대 역할을 하고 있어 눈길을 끌고 있다.

2003년 창업한 공공기관 물품관리기기 제조·판매 기업인 ㈜위즈앤테크는 기존 판매 중인 자사제품이 경쟁사에 의해 카피되어 제품의 경쟁력을 잃으면서 어려움을 겪고 있었다.
그러나 ㈜위즈앤테크는 기존 제품들의 문제점을 개선시킨 새로운 제품출시와 권리화 준비에 나섰다. 특히, 전문컨설팅을 동반한 특허·브랜드·디자인R&D를 지원해주는 대구지식재산센터의 지원사업을 신청하면서 새로운 길을 걷게 됐다.
실제 올해 ㈜위즈앤테크는 전년대비 50%의 매출이 성장했다. 공공기관에서 원하는 UI(사용자환경)개선과 최적화된 화면 선정, 최신 모듈을 적용한 제품을 개발해 5억원 정도의 매출을 달성했다. 향후 5년간 100억 정도의 판매도 기대되고 있다.
대구지식재산센터 최정호 센터장은 “코로나로 힘든 지역기업들이 지식재산경영을 통해 경쟁력을 갖춰 나갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

In this year, Wiz & Tech co., Ltd. grew sales by 50% compared to the previous year. We achieved sales of around 500 million won by developing products that applied the latest modules, improving the desired UI (user experience) and selecting optimized screens by public institutions. Sales of around 10 billion are expected over the next five years.
"We will do our best to ensure that local companies that are difficult to corona are competitive through intellectual property management," said Choi Jung-ho, director of the Daegu Intellectual Property Center.
