【브레이크뉴스 포항】오주호 기자=해병대1사단은 경북지역 내 코로나19 확산 차단 지원을 위해 16일부터 상황 해제 시까지 경북권 2생활치료센터(이하 경주 양남 생활치료센터)에해병대 신속기동부대 현장지원팀을 추가투입한다고 밝혔다.

이번에 추가 투입되는 병력은 총 10명이며(간부 2명, 대원 8명) 이들은 경증 환자에 대한 식사 지원, 물품분배, 방역지원,폐기물 처리 등을 담당하게 된다.

해병대1사단은 지난 3월부터 현재까지 연인원 1300여명을 지원해 경북권 2생활치료센터와 포항 해외입국자 임시 격리시설에 신속기동부대 현장지원팀을 투입해 코로나19 확산 차단지원 임무를 수행하고 있다.

사단은 현장지원팀 장병의 안전한 임무수행을 위해 방호복 착용, 경증환자 직접 접촉 차단 등 방역대책을 철저하게 강구하고임무를 종료한 병력들은 부대내 별도 격리 시설에서 2주간 예방적격리를 실시하고 있다.

현장지원팀 김진환 중사(부347기/33세)는 “우리 해병대는 국민이필요로 하는 곳에 언제든지 투입될 준비가 되어있다”며 “국민 모두가 함께 힘을 모은다면 더욱 빨리 이 위기를 극복할 수 있을 것이라 확신한다”고 말했다.

한편 해병대1사단은 지역 내 방역지원, 헌혈 운동, 의무인력 지원 등 코로나19 예방과 확산 차단을 위해 노력을 기울이고 있다. 또한, 현상황 장기화에 대비해 해병대 신속기동부대를 대구·경북 지역은 물론 해병대를 필요로 하는 어느 지역으로든 신속하게 투입할 수 있는출동 준비태세를 갖추고 있다.
