지난 11일 제269회 임시회 제1차 본회의에서 5분 자유발언에 나선 차현민 의원은 “수성구 주민들의 쾌적한 생활환경을 위해 묵묵히 헌신하는 환경공무직원들의 단체보장보험 보장 내역이 부족하다”고 지적했다.

그는 “수성구 주민들의 쾌적한 생활환경을 위해 묵묵히 헌신하는 환경공무직원들의 처우에 대해 생각해 볼 필요가 있다”며 “매일 위험을 감수하며 지역을 위해 일하고 있는 상황에서 사고가 발생하면 본인과 가족들이 감당해야 할 경제적 부담이 크다”고 주장했다.

그러면서 “복지포인트에서 일정 부분을 떼어 가입하는 단체보장보험의 보장 내역이 부족하다”며 “최소한의 보장만 제공하는 보험을 권유하는 것이 아니라 수성구 차원의 강화된 보험 체계를 마련해야한다”고 말했다.

아울러 차 의원은 “사고 발생 시 실질적인 경제적 지원이 이루어질 수 있도록 별도의 안전장치 마련과 안심하고 근무할 수 있는 여건을 조성해야한다”고 강조했다.
