【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국가스공사(사장 채희봉)는 16일 서울 서초구 더케이호텔에서 열린 ‘2020 신기술 실용화 촉진대회’에서 대통령 표창을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

한국신제품인증협회가 주최하고 산업통상자원부 국가기술표준원이 주관하는 이 대회는 기술 혁신 및 개발을 통해 대한민국 산업 발전에 이바지한 기업·기관·개인을 선정해 포상하는 행사로 올해로 24회를 맞았다.

가스공사는 이번 행사에서 ‘신기술인증제품(NEP : New Excellent Product) 구매 활성화’ 공로를 인정받아 대통령 표창 수상의 영예를 안았다.

특히 가스공사는 최근 3년간(2017~2019) 신기술인증제품 구매 실적이 의무 이행률(품목별 20% 이상)을 큰 폭으로 상회함은 물론, 지난해에는 적극적인 노력으로 이행률 100%를 달성했다.

가스공사 관계자는 “앞으로도 산업 기술 진흥 및 판로 활성화에 힘써 우리나라 신기술 발전에 더욱 기여하고 사회적 가치를 창출하는 공기업의 역할을 충실히 수행해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 가스공사는 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 중소협력사·소상공인을 위한 2,100억 원 규모의 ‘KOGAS 상생협력 패키지’, 중소기업과의 가스설비 국산화 협력을 위한 ‘현장실증(Test-Bed) 사업’, 수소 유통 전담기관으로서 지역사회·대중소기업과 함께하는 ‘수소산업 생태계 조성’ 등 다양한 상생협력 사업을 통해 사회적 가치 실현에 박차를 가하고 있다.
