【브레이크뉴스 경북 포항】이성현 기자=POSTECH(포항공과대학교, 총장 김무환)이 중소벤처기업부 창업진흥원 주관‘2021년 창업도약패키지 지원사업’ 대경(대구·경북) 지역 주관기관에 선정됐다.
POSTECH에 따르면 이 사업은 도약단계 혁신 창업기업의 매출 및 일자리 창출을 지원하는 사업으로 사업기간은2+2년이며, 사업비는 연 70억 원 수준이다.
주관기관 선정 대상은 특화기술 및 인프라, 협업네트워크 등 지원역량을 갖춘 대학, 공공기관, 민간기관 등으로 3~7년 이내 도약기창업기업의 혁신성장을 견인하고, 실질적 성과창출을 촉진할 수 있어야 한다.
POSTECH은 대학의 탁월한 연구성과와 우수한 창업교육 프로그램, 코스닥 상장사인 제넥신, 카페24 등 다수의 스타기업을 육성한 경험, 지자체 및 지역 산업계와의 긴밀한 연계 협력 체계를 구축하고 있는 점 등이 이번 사업 선정의 주효한 요인으로 작용했다고 평가하고 있다.
POSTECH은 이 사업을 전담하는 인공지능연구원(원장 서영주) 산하에 창업도약지원센터를 설치하고, “스케일 업 MVP(Scale-up Most Valuable Platform)”를 구축·운영키로 했다.
또한, 경상북도를 포함한 14개 기관과 함께 기업 발굴, 특화 프로그램 운영 및 투자를 통해 창업기업의 스케일업 지원을 할 예정이다.
